Bill Lange
I read this on CNN today "AA urges workers not to abuse sick days". My first thought was "I didn't think AA had that many workers!" Doh! http://www.cnn.com/2003/TRAVEL/01/08/american.sick.time/index.html ://http://www.cnn.com/2003/TRAVEL/01/0...me/index.html WRL
Nukey Shay
It's so warm here (50 deg.) that I noticed quite a number of people playing hookey today (biking, golfing, etc.). *remembers a time when houses would be buried by January

Inky
I WISH it was snowing here in Chicago. I have the distinction of being the only person in Illinois to like snow. We should get some this weekend though.
oesii
haha, the news kept pointing out this morning that Brooksville, FL (near Tampa) was colder than most of the midwest, I think it was 30 degrees this morning around here.
Nukey Shay
@Inky Same here! Winter is just not the same without a white fluffy covering...otherwise it seems to drag on forever like an endless November. Of course, I never have to drive in it. But it's really only the slop at the end of Winter that I can live without...all other seasons are OK. Muddy shoes are pretty much the only thing you can expect during that stretch. Muddy shoes and taxes...bleeh!
Bill Lange
We have not been allowed to water anything outside since Oct 1st. With the way the weather is going, they ( the metro area authorities ) have already said there will probably be no outside water this summer. Hopefully we will not have another rouge forest ranger start a gazillion acre fire again this summer. I would not mind a few muddy foot prints right about now, though a blizzard would be much better. z28in82
Well today was the first day since Saturday without any kinda snow, mostly flurries, but still made it a pain in the ass to drive to work at night. So before this lil burst I was feeling your pain Inky and Nukey. I love snow and just wish now for accumilation instead of flurries. Would love to go out and play in the snow but alas it will not happen
