I am offering 2 versions of the cable.
Deluxe: Pictured as above. RGB output via DB9, Female connectors for Composite, S-video and Stereo audio. - $36
Basic: Same thing without RGB. Just Composite, S-video and Stereo Audio - $22
If you need a DB9 to HD15 adapter, I will build one of those for you for $8.
I want to stress that the DB9 to HD15 adapter does NOT make your Jaguar magically work with a VGA monitor! THIS IS NOT A VGA SOLUTION!!
Its for HD15 to 4 BNC connectors cables for Sony PVM style monitors. NOT VGA!!
I think there some has been some confusion on this point. Just want to make this crystal clear.
Shipping is a flat $6 for Priority mail with Delivery confirmation. Several units can fit in one box to save on shipping.
I will build no more than a total of 25 cables. Any mixture of Basic and Deluxe. I will need to take preorders and receive payments on them first and then once all the orders are in I can order parts and start assembling them. I don't want to build some 20 odd cables and then find that no one wants them. That's why I want them payed for ahead of time.
Preorders starts today and runs through December 2nd. So two weeks total OR until all 25 preorders are filled. Keep this in mind. Once 25 cables are ordered, the preorder period stops. I imagine I can have all 25 cables built and shipped in time for christmas. Overseas orders (if there are any) will vary on shipping expenses and delivery time.
--------------- Cable Details --------------------
These adapters are wired for composite sync so you can use a HD15 to 4 BNC cable for monitors like Sony PVM if you elect to get a cable with RGB output. You can also easily build a cable to use it with a common Commodore 1084 monitor or any other standard 15KHz composite sync RGB monitor.
I can't stress this enough that these are for composite sync monitors. If your RGB monitor requires 5 BNC connectors, than this RGB cable will not work for you as the Jag doesn't natively output vertical sync. Just composite and Horizontal Sync.
Also, the pinout of the RGB DB9 for those that might want to build their own cables:
Also notice that the A/V jacks are female so you can plug in your own composite or S-video and audio cables. No more trying to figure out how to get a single 6 foot cable to reach to the back of your TV or monitor and also around to a separate audio system. With my design you can use cable length and cable quality that suits your needs.
I borrowed the idea for the housing around the 24 pin connector from http://www.oldschool...-school-junkie/. As far as I know he has never sold his cables due to manufacturing expenses. There are no good options to house a 24 pin connector so some home brew is needed. Later on I will probably put up my photos of whats underneath the thick heat shrink.
