Welcome to round 10 of the 7th season of the Atari Age NES High Score League!

This is the last round of the season, so it's time to separate the men from the boys.  Battletoads is one of the hardest games on the NES, but it's also one of the best.

At this point, asponge just needs to win, place, or show to lock up first place.  If he doesn't, bigbee99 can hop over him.  Lesser standings are still anyone's game.

Since people are busier due to the holidays, I'm just going to let this round go through the whole month of December.

Well, I think I got about half of the way through the turbo tunnel.  I rented this game once or twice as a kid.  I'm not sure that I even got that far.

Might have to sit this one out, IIRC, the FC Twin I have doesn't like this one (while strangely Battletoads & Double Dragon works fine).

You can always just use emulation.  I don't have this game myself.

Strange, I can generally make it to Turbo Tunnel without getting a game over.  But I still want to know who the @!#$ came up with idea of making this game so *!@$ hard!!

In the tunnel, i don't like those things that shock me.
It takes awhile to kill those buggers.

How does one get in on this action?...I racked up about 350,000 today on my first game, do I need to take a screenshot or something like that?  Battletoads Christmas POWER!

I'll try today, yesterday I got well over 350,000 in the first game...I'm sure there's better out there but I'm on a mission lately with Battletoads!

Attempt 1:

Did fine until a level I never have problems with, 3 deaths in the Turbo Tunnel...not even at the end!  Then I opted for the Warp in the Ice Level so I can practice on the Snakes.  More attempts until Sunday!

627 250 final score...and I almost lost all my continues by going for the camera!...no screenshot, trying to figure out how to get through the jet part...can this game get any more ridiculous!  That's my final score for this baby...it was a pretty good first game!...lots of dumb deaths of course, mainly in the ice level and those damn surfboards (the last set of mines...ridonk).
