I had a suggestion for the next thread, a tutorial on effective use of the Stella debugger. From the basics to the more advanced features.

I think this is a good idea. And in the process, there will probably be some bug reports that can improve the debugger (although I don't know when I'll find time to actually implement the bugfixes).

As to your original question, there's a very minimal tutorial in the Stella documentation; specifically, how to cheat :) It describes how to lose a live, search for changes in RAM, trapping on address reads and writes, etc. While it only covers one use case, it still gives some useful info. But like I said above, more feedback would be great. Maybe the documentation could be extended to include tutorials and hints ...

Stella is the most important tool we have for the 2600.
