Does anyone have or have used the MagiCard cartridge?

I stumbled across it in the 2600 rarity guide and saw it as not only a programming tool, but one of the rarest carts for the 2600. What's it like to use? - and out of curiousity, how much is it worth?

Scrolling through search results they seem to be $2-4K.

Bumping this, cause I have the same question. Has anyone used this? Any saved programs? New or from the 80's?

There wasn't a way to save your programs (although I suppose you could use an emulator save state to do it now). With the tools available to programmers now, it's more of a curiosity than anything.

Not even with the cassette interface? http://atariage.com/...33&maxPages=138

I know it's a rare cartridge; it wouldn't be unusual if no one actually used it; it would, however be sad.

I was actually surprised someone saved/made available their Compumate programs; when I heard the MagiCard could connect to a tape deck, I began to wonder if anyone had something saved from it too. I suppose the Compumate was more convenient than the MagiCard, possibly more popular too.

I just knew the Magicard didn't include any sort of cassette interface. I never read the manual closely enough to see there were instructions for making one. I wonder if anyone actually took the time to build it.

I wouldn'tve have known if someone on this forum hadn't mentioned it. Began to read the instruction manual after that.

Apparently Ed Salvo used it to make a flight sim before joining Apollo.
