Our game this round is Frogger as chosen by sdamon. Play on default starting setting. Use either keypad or stick for movement as you wish.

Emulation is fine as is whatever control scheme you wish. Pics required as lowest score is eliminated from further play.
Anyone using their "skip" must post here within 24hrs. Players who've used their skip will have an asterisk * next to their name.

I'll be using my "skip" since I don't have this one. I will try my emulator for DC to at least attempt the game.

this is one game I really wanted to play… I would love to see how well I could do on the 'slow' speed as I usually play on 'fast' and score pretty decent…

sadly, Frogger is a game that gets alot of "hate" and won't ever win a vote in the HSC…

5 people left, 2 of which are skipping this round.  We need your unofficial score Sonic R!   I forget, is 'default' fast or slow?  Because I remember that 'fast' is really fast!

"A game may be "passed" if all eligible players don't have or want to play it. We would then move to the next game on the list."

Since this is one I don't own and zylon doesn't, consider this an option... but it depends on you 3 remaining players, and what yas want to do.

This is one of two games I cannot play right on atari 800 emul, feels like it's broken...

I'd most like to see Dig Dug, Ms Pac, Centipede... but it's the draw of the cards.

I'm happy to post a score to drive other players   Frogger was one of the games I selected as I know it would never get played otherwise…

I do have a spare cartridge of Frogger if someone wants it... it's just the cart (no overlay)
I could have it shipped out tomorrow while I'm on lunch

This one and Pitfall are the 2 I don't have on the list. If both players in question are to be getting the game, then I could extend the round accordingly. I could also bump this one to the next round.

Frogger on the Atari 5200 is probably my favorite port… simply because of the option to play using the keypad… for those who dislike the joystick/button combination implemented in the 5200 port, give the keypad a try! for those who don't have the overlay:
2 = up
4 = left
6 = right
8 = down

press 0 to toggle between joystick and keypad

actual 5200 Frogger overlay (yes, it is actually made of flimsy cardboard!)

My cart from sdamon arrived today. I'll test it tonight and will play if it works.

I will extend round to Sunday to compensate for time for everyone to get the game.

Wow! This sucks. I can see why my 1st neg feedback was from selling one of these long ago.
I tried the original hardware in both modes and then my emulator without sound. Emulator was better, but not by much.

Frogger is best played at high speed clipping along at a fast rate... I use two hands on the keypad utilizing three fingers… with a finger on the 2, 4, and 6 buttons to make the quickest movements I am capable of!

I reached the 4th stage… and OH MY!! the cars move FAST!
