Damn right! Mighty Bomb Jack! Sweet!

Yeah love that game lol. Never seem to beat it though!!! That game is super hard imo.

Hard to answer this; I have a ton of consoles and games, but nothing crazy. I mean, I own MUSHA and Radiant Silvergun... probably some other expensive shooters... I dunno. I own a Vectrex... is that a crazy rare gem, nowadays? Starting to seem like it.

I remember one of my brothers had MUSHA. Rare Genesis game, but not one I'm that thrilled about. It's an okay shooter, but there are way better ones than that. Yeah Vectrex seems to be a rare console right??? Glad I have one!

Anyways I've noticed, despite certain games being rare, that doesn't mean they are actually good. I hardly play Stadium Events because it's soo boring lol. A number of very rare NES games are crap, like Action 52, Zombie Nation (I seriously don't get that game,it sucks), Bubblebath Babes (so a naked lady farting in the bathtub is supposed to be a game? lol)... Why is Chubby Cherub so rare??? Never tried Snow Brothers though so can't comment on that one.

My list is based on the value these items hold to me.

1. I missed out on acquiring an NES classic, but I lucked out on my two CIB NES 101 Top loaders. I puchased them in '96 at Toys R Us as Xmas gifts for my brother and father at $50 each. They never used them and told me to keep them in my care. I never imagined they would be so coveted in the gaming community. I actually prefer my front loader for game play because of the A/V option. I agree that functionality the toploaders are superior, but the rf out picture quality is poor. I am waiting for Gametechusa to start offering his av mod service again to get one modded. I am in no hurry though.

2. My Yurkie AV modded CV. He does fantastic work and it truly enhances the gaming experience.

3. My everdrive cartridges for SMS, Genesis, NES, SNES, N64, GB/GBC, & GBA AND my atarimax flash cartridges for the CV & 5200. It has not deterred me from acquiring original carts, but they allow me access to games that are scarce or cost prohibitive to acquire.

4. My Commodore 64. I don't have any other hardware for the C64, but it's technically my first PC and holds sentimental value to me. A special thanks to Ray Carlsen for repairing mine in 2014. The IC U27 went bad and Ray replaced it as well as installing his saver module service and three heat sinks on other ICs.

5. My retro console dust covers from papanannysfunstuff. They are far superior to the vintage dustcovers.

Well, here are my Top 5 picks:

1. My Commodore SX-64 Executive computer

Besides being the rarest item in my collection, it was also a freebie, well, a little labor was involved, but no cash. My parents owns a resale store, and I work there weekdays. My dad was always a "Picker" of sorts, (Long before it was cool! :P ), and owned a small business before, so the store was inevitable. Anyways, in April of 2015, We get a call, an old lady was selling her house, and she had a bunch of stuff she left inside, told the realtors to "Do whatever with it I don't care"! My aunt was the realtor in charge of selling the house, so she calls us, and tells us to "Get this house cleaned up by next week!", so we go in, tons of stuff, and as I was cleaning, I discovered a bunch of old computers in the attic, including a strange looking silver one with a carry handle. I pick it up. I have seen "Portable" computers like this, (Kaypro, Osborn1, Compaq Portable) but this was one I never seen before. I open it up, "Commodore SX-64 Executive Computer". I have never seen one before, never knew they existed before i seen this one. My eyes could have jumped clear out of their sockets when I looked it up! Needless to say, I was excited! My father ended up giving me all the computer stuff, and some other things out of the haul. gallery_23828_369_284002.jpg

2. Nintendo 64, near mint, Complete in the original box Also a freebie, and from the same house I found the Commodore sx-64 in, this one was in the upstairs room, sitting on a shelf, next to a couple N64 and Super Nintendo games, including a copy of "Chrono trigger" for the SNES . This N64 looks like it maybe saw the outside of the box one time, as the plastic wrap was opened, but this system had all its papers, the manual, warranty cards, etc., the controller (Gray), all cords, and even a equally near mint "Super Mario 64" cartridge. gallery_23828_369_183104.jpg

3. My Super Nintendo : Obviously not a rare machine, but it was my first, the one from my childhood, and It's the very system from my childhood as well, with all the games I got for it, and then some. I got this handed to me from my cousin, who then got a Nintendo 64 in jungle green, for Christmas (he still has it!) when it was the new thing. ( well, about 2000 or so), so he gives me his old Super Nintendo, and never having a console before, I was excited, and so were my siblings, and even my parents, especially my mother. First night, My mother and I played 2 player "super mario world" from 8pm till 5:30 Am the next morning, and she kicked my A** at it! Mario was her game, like "Faxanadu" (NES), and "Dig Dug" were my dads. All these years, the fact I still have my first is amazing! Incidentially, I also have an SNES another cousin gave to me, as well as his NES . I also had my aunt's (and later my mother's) NES, which I ended up selling. I got many consoles from family members. gallery_23828_369_246203.jpg

4. My Atari 2600 (TRW Taiwan Light Sixer, 1980) Another Not Rare one, but it was the second console I ever acquired. I was a boy, and found an old book, called "How Things work" (National Geographic Books, 1981), one of the pages was "How video games work", and it was an Atari 2600. I have never seen one of these before, and never knew it existed prior to seeing it in the book, but I wanted one! Some Time later, a good family friend was cleaning out his attic, and he ends up pulling out the Atari 2600 he and his brother got for Christmas in 1980, and an old SounDesign Stereo with same brand turntable, and he ends up giving all of it to me. I still have the Atari, and the SounDesign Stereo, the latter was my Alarm clock throughout my school years, and through college as well. His mother told me she has the box for the Atari somewhere, and if she finds it, she will give it to me. (Note, the games in the pic, and the Joystick, I got later, it had a standard Atari Cx-2677 Controller )gallery_23828_369_114088.jpg

5. Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer 2 (16K Extended, CIB) I managed to snag this one, along with a Tandy 1000, and some other stuff, all for $1 (USD)! I went to an auction with my father, which I have been to many auctions since I was a boy, but if there was an auction where we pretty much "Made it out like a bandit!", it was this one. We have been good at finding bargains at auctions, but never have we been able to clear entire tables with just $1 and $2 bids! Well, this auction, the guy was a manager at radio Shack for decades, so a lot of Radio Shack goodies, but the big draw, which everyone was there for, was the massive gun collection, Mossberg Shotguns, Winchester revolvers, you name it, this guy had a ton of guns! Getting a cheap gun was out of the question, the guns went for booku bucks! No matter, we were not there for the guns, although my Dad's best friend's ( the one that gave me the Atari years prior) got a $1,200 Mossberg Double 12 Ga. for $400. We were there for the vintage radios, tubes, and radio shack stuff. The guns went up first thing, and the crowds went down to almost nothing as the guns sold off, and the auctioneer practically forgot the tables with the Radio shack stuff. An assistant pointed out, "We still need to sell these tables. The crowd was almost gone, and it was almost over, so he goes out and says "Do we have a dollar, for this table, all on it?" Naturally, we bid on the remaining tables, no one bid against us, except for the one with the slot car tracks. Including a few vintage slot car sets, We had 2 trucks, and we had them completely filled, barely enough space for us to sit in them, spent $35, (Not including the shotgun) and filled the trucks!

The Tandy Computers were my prize, the CoCo was still in its box, a little discolored on the box, but the computer is gleaming white inside, with some games, all in their correct boxes, the manuals, and a pair of Radio Shack Joysticks, with their boxes and manuals as well! the booklets were all there, manuals, warranty papers, even the "Getting Started with Extended BASIC" program and how-to book which tells you how to use your computer, and program in the TRS-Extended BASIC, including tips and tricks the 4K base CoCo could not do. gallery_23828_369_2168.jpg

Honorable Mentions include my first PlayStation2, ("Fat" SCPH -5001) which I got for christmas as a kid, or should I say, my Cat, Mikey did, as my mother put his name on the label to mess with us! :P Unfortunately, it broke, and I could not get it fixed, so I gave it to a friend after he fixed the ribbon cable on another one I bought. he ended up fixing it, modded it, and painted it in a Burgundy Color to match his 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, "Supercharged ps2", he called it, he even had "Supercharged" Emblems from a Mercury Cougar on it.

My Atari VCS SunnyvaleHeavy Sixer, Walked in my parent's store, with 8 games, guy only wanted $10 for it. I bought it on the Spot, and My Xbox 360, Similar deal, walked in the Store, Young couple wanted only $30 for it, And this was before the xbox one was out, I bought that as well.

I think my top 5 items changes every year as my direction changes .

Here's my top 5 going into 2018.

5. My cib Atari 2600 promotional use only system. Something that stands out against other 2600s but I love the red on the system box.

4. My Atari xegs. I can't think about a top 5 without mentioning the system that started it all for me back in 1987. 31 years and still going.

3. My sampo vg6512bw tv with built in pong. First of the 2 pong units in the list. This small one is easy carry but big on fun.

2. Philips N60. One of a few over seas Odysseus 2 systems with a built in screen but one of the only ones that as a side load cartridge slot. I have yet to see one pop up on eBay. One of the rarer Odysseus systems for sure.

1. My heathkit gd1380 kit pong system and the compatible gr2000 heathkit tv that works with it. This pong unit is hard to come by but the fact it only works on a handful of heathkit brand tvs only really limits the chances to experience this pong system.
