Lets CAP this thing at 500 ks...! If someone reaches 500ks consider it a roll... so you don't have to play forever.

A difficulty setting would have been nice...

No, let's make it 100k. Or at the very most 250k. 200k? 500k is still way too much. I should know, I just got there and stopped!

60,650... participant ribbon!

I'm not digging a low cap on the game this week. I say play on, or if need be, at least keep the cap really high. It's not the most boring VCS game I've played...
[I find it oddly charming, even... I know! right?]

I actually think this week might be a push, whatever the cap is (i.e. a 17-way tie for first place). I would expect that every one of our players here can reach any score they want on this game, as long as they have a block of time to play up to it.

I stopped at 150K. (Have to go to work tomorrow.)

Capping will stay at 500ks, it proves you have what it takes to roll it, but doesn't drag on forever.

You could always try to match twin galaxies but the point in that would be to record it!

Ugh!!!!
Could not go any further. So I plungded myself off of the building 3 times and died!
I am done with this game unless I get near the bottom.
Note to the knock-out club, never pick this one again.

Is there an actual end to this game once you beat all 85 cities? (if you can take that much boredom) or does it just loop back to city 1 again?

It sucks that the game is so easy because they really nailed this port. It's got everything the arcade version has. Too bad they couldn't have ramped up the difficulty some.

Ok, so I haven't posted a score yet, but I will once I hit the cap. Maybe tonight.

I agree the intermissions of the cities is cool, the control is pretty good, and the graphics are passing grade...
It's the lack of difficulty changes, that stops it from being more fun and interesting.

Is the arcade easy to play like this?

No end that I could see-- the cities repeat eventually.

This game was quite prophetic about the real estate market.....

Ah, but the resposibilities of a classic gamer are never quite over, are they?

It gives you more time to play other games. For instance, games that are fun. <--- that's this week's snark from me... no more.

My previous analysis failed to consider the Suicide Factor: That the monotony becomes so horrendous that the player runs off the edge of the building, screaming into the night, because they can't take it anymore.

201350 ... still on first life. Looks like I figured out this game. I'm done... no urge to go for 500k.

I'm glad toymailman has random drawn this one, better sooner then later... such as a final 5-10 players, or worse THE FINAL. :D

You may want to pick a final 5 games or something and protect them. Having a game like this as one of the final games would be a bit of a buzz kill.
