Recommended Posts

Iam Have a Mild Size famicom collection that needs protecting, and I love the art of design and Have seen many references to there being a supplier of Black Shell famicom game cases, but where the hell do u find these suppliers. I attached A reference photo of a game on ebay to demenstrate the type of case iam looking for.

Help save the Famicom games in style.

Thanks Satoshi, I went to Famicom World ,and my answer was they were Namco cases from old famicom games.

Reason I was asking is I had bunch of Rockman games and super mario cartridges, that I wanted to protect. and I visted The Cover Project.com web site, and got all Impressed and want to do put all my classic genesis games and I knew both famicom and genesis carts were about the same size.

Ive looked and looked and..well, looked. The ONLY place I can find any is from a Russian Vendor on ebay (see enclosed pic). I wish I could just get the blank cases for cheap and do the artwork myself though. I know this is an old thread, just wondering if anyone knew of blank famicom box's.

Man that is tough. I use plastic bags to protect from damage/scratches etc. I've got very, very few games in my FC collection that are boxed. They don't seem easy to come by. Best I can think of is potentially a group buy/3D print project. The plastic clamshells are pretty nice overall. Finding a way to get a plastic sleeve as part of it would be great for inserting your own custom box art.

So here's what the box's I ordered look like. Just came in.

Good: Only game in town, look decent, cart fits well

Bad: Pricey, not all 6 follow the exact same design, so they could look better.

But I don't plan on owning a lot of Famicom carts so I guess it's ok, to spend some so they look good and can be easily retrieved off shelf.
