Just unpatch when delivering the EOL character and all's good.

Haha, funny how much can go wrong in just a few lines of code. And how the coding style changes over the years. Looking at my code from 2010 I see at least 4 other bugs (wrong wait loop, RAMTOP/MEMTOP not set, cusor skips printed line because of BASIC's "READY" output, ....)

 

So here's the actually working and tested version running from an ATR with and without BASIC previously enabled.

It uses the same method as before to simulate the input. Simply because I like the fact the OS has that feature for this purpose and because it is a little smaller than changing (and restoring) HATABS.

see now that unfinished business is settled, I feel better about it already... now if we just did this with every piece of previous works down the entire software library, I'd be the happiest ever!

Thank you very much for the JAC! example. ;)  It was just what I wanted to do to automatically start a program in basic that I'm typing from a magazine in my country.
