8-bit internet access?

Software that doesn't yet exist :)

There are a few ways to get "online". Using original modems to call dial up BBSes (believe it or not, a few still exist). Using APE's built in modem simulator (or a hardware device such as a Lantronix MSS-100 or UDS-10). These perform ethernet to serial conversion, but you are still limited to telnet. Use a shell on a Linux machine, and use the Atari to telnet in.

There is currently no way of being on the internet other than via a BBS with outgoing access.
