Good Ol' Pole Position.

The arcade version was GREAT! The Atari XL computer version, the one I had, was GREAT!

The Atari 2600 version was OK but very limited.

Anyway here where I predict the lowest score.

Last week the Rampage scores were a bit higher than I thought, excluding the zero score and the score that couldn't get knocked out. I thought more people would play once or twice and give up. So I was a bit low (45K) when the next lowest score that would have been bumped would have been 73K. I guess we are getting to the active players left in the competition. It is getting very interesting. So this week I predict the lowest Pole Position score will be 55K. That's right 55K. I believe that is two crashes.

Should be a RACE to the top this week.

My starting score: 55350

60,660! 213" 97

I can shave more time off, but here's a little hint:

If you're in one lane and the oncoming car is changing lanes...if you don't have time to swich lanes, drive off the track "into the grass." You'll slow down a considerable amount, but you'll pass the car and get back up to speed quick enough. You'll waste less time that way, rather than crashing into a car.

In that run, I think I drove into the grass 4 or 5 times, but no crashes! :)

Oh, and for the record, I had 14 seconds remaining when I finished the race. I'm sure I can get that up to 15 or 16 if I don't drive off the track as much.

I'm a qualifying lap expert; 14,000 - crash - reset - 14,000 - crash - reset - 14,000 - crash - reset

That's the point I'm at. No way you can beat your high score with a crash. For the all-time high score 60960, you probably can't touch the side of the road.

Jacob, I'm ahead of Gorfy lol

Yup, I now see that, will fix that this update now...

Since were on the mistake topic, the rankings for last rounds, INTV Blockade Runner, went 10/8/6/4/2/1...

Did you change it, because normally it's 10-9-8-6-4-2-1.

Actually it was scored the 10-9-8-6-4-2-1, a non KO player "goldenband" got the 9.
