Remembering Pleasant Valley Video Games

As I stated in in a different post in the main Atari 2600 forum,

"It's funny how that was over 20 years ago when we started the print newsletters... everything was focused on mail order. There was this place PLEASANT VALLEY VIDEO GAMES... just came across their catalog. I've got to scan this and share it with everyone. Looking at the prices it is hilarious to see how cheap rare games were then..."

Well, I scanned it today. Take a look at this catalog.

if only I could go back in time and place an order!

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE TELEPHONE # OR WRITE TO THEM! THIS IS A CATALOG FROM BACK IN THE DAY 1990!!!! 1990!

I do recall placing an order and getting the games. I was lucky. Many people got burned by PVV...

Enjoy!

The whole PVV story/writings from the early issues kept me going. When I had read through a couple of issues in Volume I of your book, I would be ready to give it a rest, but someone would post to the editor about PVV and their less than professional handling of their customers. It kept me reading to see what happened next. :) In the Commodore world, there was a similar vendor of Click Here software who was basically doing the same thing as PVV (except he was selling hardware as well in the range of $100 - $500 or more). Click Here was taking orders and money, but never shipping or responding to inquiries for goods paid for, etc... Very similar to the whole Atari 2600 related PVV company.
