Elevator Action - 52,300

Not crazy about this one, feels kinda slow.  Which, incidentally, is my main complaint about the original.

I like this one a lot.  Kinda miss the charge up shot which I thought was an R-type trademark but this is a cool shooter.

Not a good run.  I just picked it up to remember it.  I finished the 1st boss with no men and 1 bar of life left lol.

Years of playing the Genesis version makes me kill this game almost every time.

First attempt, I died in the fourth level. Then, I remembered to stick and move and I was fine after that. I usually just avoid the enemies that I can and concentrate on getting all three power-ups in one shot to get the 100,000 point bonus.

Holy shit JB, if you're capable of scores like those you should post more often!

I have a lot going on in this house. My grandfather, my aunt, and household stuff, not to mention being under the weather(I'm seeing a sinus doctor right now, but nothing's really working, which punishes me physically). But, I was actually free today and feeling well enough to concentrate. Besides, it's more of a lucky streak. This tournament happened to have a few games I was good at. I can see myself working on Strikers 1945 next, as I have it for the Saturn. But, other than that, I'd have to take a wild guess as to how I'd do on the others.

Shinobi I suck at and wouldn't be able to beat the game at all(I never could get into the ninja games. I even have Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus sitting here collecting dust), let alone on one credit, Pitfall II I never knew there was even an arcade version, Wonder Boy I might give a shot because I play those games on my TurboGrafx, and the others I've never heard of.

BTW, you get a 2 million plus bonus for the final boss. That's why the score was so high for Leo.

I forgot that the game continued after you beat it. I somehow made it past the first two levels, but at the beginning of the third one, I got shot down. It gets WAY harder after you beat it. It's INSANE!

A lot easier in my eyes than the 2600 version. Those mine carts are what finally did me in(I went the wrong route).

Man...  I have been working my ass off this week.  No time for games.  I got in at 6:30 tonight and that was my earliest day all week.  I start at 8am :P  Looks like I will be slammed until next weekend too.  I hope to drop a score or 2 between now and then though.  I hate cramming in all of the game in at the last min.

Wonderboy 192,510

Man!  I was at the continue screen and went to press "2" in order to skip the countdown and hit "F2" and reset the game so I missed the pic.  I think I had a little more but it's all good.  I will play it some more later.  I enjoy Wonderboy and all of the Adventure Islands.

This run ended in 2-3 section 4.  I was getting a lot of Mushrooms.

Scratch that, I had it on the wrong settings...

231,410.  I died at the end of 2-3 and had to start 2-4 with no ax.  It was not pretty.

Well, after SEVEN HOURS, a LOT of swearing, my fist almost going through my MAME cabinet, and several years off of my life, I present my score for Shinobi. I just had to treat it like Ninja Gaiden. No WONDER why I hate these ninja games. In this game alone, you have zombie ninjas, blue, green, and red ninja somehow blending into to dirt walls, and my favorite which is an oxymoron: ninjas with guns. Now, if you're a ninja, YOU DON'T USE A FUCKING GUN!!!!!!

Anyways, here it is:

Now, I need a shower.....

Wonderboy:

This was another eight hour game. I prefer Adventure Island. Sega couldn't make a game like this right if their life depended on it. The final boss especially is too damn cheap. I was literally on my LAST life and third bar of vitality before I beat him. I'll take Adventure Island over Wonderboy ANY DAY!

I got started this morning.  Here are the 6 I've played:

ALTERED BEAST ---Attached File  DSCF4985.JPG   674.82K   2 downloads---459,000

You guys know the characters that jump and are blue at the beginning of the 2nd board?  You know, those hopping nutsacs with mouth and eyes?  Interestingly enough, when you kill them, you don't get any points for them.  I find that strange.

Anyway, I made it to the 5th but got kicked by those jumpkickers.  The trick to those guys is to move right at them and bump into them. They will start their kick routine, but will get interrupted.  He will fall straight down.  Then when the timing is right, give them a punch.  HE still got me anyways, even though I know how to beat them.

FIRE BARREL------Attached File  DSCF4990.JPG   624.98K   2 downloads------273,600

A solid shooter.  I will be seeing this one again.

PITFALL II -------Attached File  DSCF4994.JPG   657.77K   2 downloads--------39,680

You know, I prefer the 2600 Pitfall for some reason.  I still like this one, though.

RTYPE LEO-------Attached File  DSCF4998.JPG   680.18K   2 downloads-------285,300

@Blaze, how many levels are on this game?

SHINOBI----------Attached File  DSCF4993.JPG   683.92K   2 downloads--------94,140

This actually took me about 45 mins. to finally get this score.

WONDER BOY-----Attached File  DSCF4986.JPG   676.59K   2 downloads-----20,940

Holy shit, I have a long way to go on this one!!
