Disk game rarity?

Is there a rarity list of disk based games/programs for the 8bits? I ask because the local Goodwill has come into a dozen or more disk based games that are still sealed for $1.99 each.

Some titles off the top of my head are:

Winter games

Temple of Asphai Trilogy

Ballblazer

Spy vs Spy

Karateka

There were some other Epyx games as well. If these are worth picking up and/or someone is interested in them, I'll go back and get them tomorrow.

Had the wrong season...it was summer games (I only looked through them quickly to pull any carts.)

Here's what I ended up getting today. I left anything opened alone as I didn't want to mess with sorting them out.

Temple of Asphai Trilogy

Lode Runner

Karateka

Ballblazer

Kronis Rift

The Seven Cities of Gold

If anyone is interested in trading for these let me know.

:D loved the depth of 7 cities... and the generating of the maps... and the gfx, and the streaming technology, the realtime strategy aspec.... many new games have some aspects of that brilliant game...

oh... not to mention the intro with the nice music and the hand writing the game logo...

Wow you snagged some good titles. IMHO I would've grabbed them all!

7 Cities is a fantastic game, I would spend a whole day playing it!

Lode Runner - great action-puzzler

Temple of Apshai - I'm not a fan of this one but it was a breakthrough RPG

Summer and Winter games were tons of fun,

Spy vs Spy was an awesome two player game.

Not that I know of.

The highest prices of the disk-based games gets probably M.U.L.E., a fantastic game and much sought after. But there was also an Ultima II auctioned recently which fetched $204. So I am wondering how high a complete Ultima I would go ...

In general I would say that titles from Electronic Arts, Infocom, Origin go higher than other companies. At least those 3 come into my mind first.

Ultima II is quite valuable because its was released only by

Sierra (they got the deal because they were the only company willing

to include a cloth map at the time). Origin re-released the early Ultimas

with new boxes but could not get the rights to II but were allowed to

sell it in the Ultima Trilogy. There are two versions of Ultima I, the

deluxe re-release version with extra goodies in the box and the

more basic original version. The re-release gets a fair price on its

own but I am unsure of how rare the original version is in comparison

to II.
