It's been a while since my last post, but in addition to a few blind Let's Plays, I've finally posted another review, this time of B.C.'s Quest for Tires.

Lol...Excellent video...

Love the humour and all the camp and creativity...Top marks...

Also, I didn't realise it was originally a comic strip so great information as well.

Can't wait for the next one..

Just one little thing, in Altirra got to view on the top bar and then Overscan Mode and set it to normal, you will get rid of the normally unseen scrolling junk at either edge.

Still laughing here....

Good stuff.  Entertaining and well produced.

This is a favorite game of mine.

I didn't agree with everything (e.g. the "rolling limes" always looked liked Milk Duds to me).

I do agree that casual misogyny can be hilarious at times.

Please tell me you intentionally misspelled your own nom de plume in the thread title, your signature, and on your own site's header.

I was not aware of that. It will be fixed in future reviews. Thanks!

If by "mispelled" you mean "spelled correctly" then yes, I did. It's a combination of "Atari" and "reviewer" that works better vocally that it does in print, admittedly (I bring the issue up in some of my reviews).

So, you never played it? :)

Honestly its wy to easy. :P

To the Atarieviewer: Nice work. Love the humor and thanks for explaining the name. Never heard of that movie and the comic strip "BC".

Not all games should be crap way too hard though.
I played Quest for Tires sometimes right after work, to relax and have some funny break.

It was "meh" for me too.

Too short, collision detection a bit buggy and overall game lacking in polish.

If you're sticking to your guns on the "Atarie Viewer" thing, then you really ought to update your subdomain name to match it. As-is, it creates a conflicting branding impression.

Should be fixed now (not in the actual video, but in my signature and other places).

Nice review MisterKerr  I was laughing out loud :D  that said I laugh at pretty much anything... my friend says (yes I have one) that "I'd laugh to see a pudding roll" though I'm not so sure, especially if it was rolling away (from my mouth), anyway back to my post... I liked the continuity from the last review - you should make that a feature me thinks. You forget the Drelbs ending would never be seen as the game is so tough; and if anyone did complete it, they would certainly be a nervous wreck so they'd welcome the chill time!

We played BC's in the High Score Club recently (scores on last post)  - I had some concerns that the game wasn't quite good enough (I blame the suedo HSC democracy of letting people suggest games and then voting too) but it proved enough of a challenge for most people if you think of beating difficulty levels 1-4 as completing the game. The  'cave' stage is way to easy even when flat out at 80mph, the only really tricky bits are lining up for the bird (I think it's fire and left/right for speed) and crossing the water. The game doesn't get any harder after stage 4 and that is the real issue for better gamers (not me)

We're currently playing Alley Cat a great game and another whacked-out one perfect for a future atarieview ;)

p.s. remember folks you can set the difficutly level on Drelbs (Select/Option)

Really enjoyed your review, hope to see more in the future.

Can I request Preppie! , I would love to see what you come up with for that :)

I've actually done Preppie for one of my text reviews. Although, you bringing it up does give me an idea for a future review...

Also, wow, Alley Cat; does that bring back memories! I've never played the Atari version, though; just the old 4-color CGA PC version on my old Tandy 1000. I'll have to check it out (even without playing it, though, I guarantee the music will be better!)
