aikainnet
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16868105060 - Free Shipping - Free Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 Amplified Stereo Headset with Chat - Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim 4GB internal flash memory - No Hard Drive - RECERTIFIED/REFURBISHED Figured I would let you guys know about one of today's Shell Shocker deals out at Newegg... No I am not a promoter for them or anything, but I do like a good deal, and 160$ off of a 360 is always a good deal Thanks for reading, Aika P.S. I will rename this thread tomorrow to Please Delete. Shell Shocker deals only last for a day or until the item is bought out.
moycon
Also if you wanna be cheap, you can snag old 20 GB Xbox 360 HDDs for like $5-$20 off eBay or Amazon, crack em open, and put the drive in these new Slims. (Takes like 1:05 seconds) That's what I did with my Slim arcade. (Ok yeah I'm cheap)
aikainnet
Is it hard? Do I need an enclosure?
Mendon
$140 is a fair price for a refurbished system, but a $160 savings??? Aren't new 4gb systems $199? Mendon
HammR25
Is it hard? Do I need an enclosure? You don't need an enclosure but you can get one for pretty cheap as well. http://www.amazon.com/hard-Drive-enclosure-Microsoft-Xbox-Slim/dp/B004YHZREE
moycon
Yes I would recommend an enclosure. Easier to insert, won't move around if you move the unit. They will work without one though. You can also just pop in a 16GB USB drive. Probably even cheaper to do that these days. Really I just used an old 360 HDD because I had a spare one laying around. Rex Dart
I wouldn't recommend using USB-connected storage for installing games. It'll load far slower than the SATA-connected HDD.
aikainnet
Is it possible to use the drive out of my 120gb elite? (pre slim xbox)
Rex Dart
Absolutely. That's what I do.
