What is the first RPG you beat? Ever?

Recommended Posts

Wizards Crown on A8, one of the best RPGs ever, actually many SSI RPGs are tops.

I tip my hat to you sir, for you are clearly a badass.

Agreed. That's a hard RPG, lots and lots of options.

Thanks, Wizards Crown, my very first RPG, for 1/2 year I didn't even know what I was supposed to do, but then it clicked.

I loved the Gold boxes later on, played through those twice sometimes. But although I own it, I never played Pools of Darkness.

Tried many JRPGs later on, but they weren't the same, maybe because of the childish cartoon characters, it just didn't work.

Pokemon Red would be the first one for me, but Star Wars KOTOR was the first true RPG I beat. I think it was the first game I played where all of the dialogue was voiced which amazed me at the time. Plus the story and even side quests were interesting enough to where I play through it a couple times every year.

Another hard game for me was the Bard's Tale (getting killed by 8 Barbarians at the start of the game). I also thought Might & Magic was pretty tough. I beat those years later with hex editors (trainers).

Sir-Tech had some other cool RPG's besides the unbeatable Wizardry. Realms of Arkania (developed by Attic I think) and Jagged Alliance which I never tried but always wanted to.

Anyone ever play Origin's Autoduel and Moebius? Cool stuff but impossibly hard for me back then.
