I'm in the process of setting up a new server for AtariAge.  In theory it should be MUCH FASTER because it has a ton of RAM (24GB), versus the 4GB in the current server.  I've setup a HUGE cache for the database server, which will allow it to store quite a bit of the database in RAM.  I'm also experimenting with using InnoDB tables instead of MyISAM (you database geeks will know what I'm talking about), and I'm curious to see how well that works (or doesn't!)  Anyway, if you want to play around with the new server, you can do so here:

http://atariage.dynd...ver.com/forums/

Anything you do on this server will not be saved, as it's just a testbed at the moment.  If you see anything weird, please report back here so I can investigate.  In particular, I'm curious how fast the server seems compared to this one.  Although it may be tough to tell without getting the same number of people logged in, so I may not really know until the server is switched over.  But I want to make sure any obvious issues are nipped in the bud before I flip the big switch.  :)

Thanks!

..Al

By the way, something minor, it seems that old avatars dont get removed if you use different extensions:

I tried logging in, and since i long ago forgot my AA password, i use FB when i login, and it gives me this when i try:
------------------------------------
{
   "error": {
      "message": "Invalid redirect_uri: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.",
      "type": "OAuthException",
      "code": 191
   }
}
------------------------------

I would venture to guess tho this is cause of the ip/domain name its coming from?

sloopy.

Those are two errors. 1. the errormessage itself 2. the json message should not be seen this way.(which seems a javascript related bug?)

Selecting Likes from your own profile page works as expected on the new server but it doesn't work on this one.
