LOL

In the meantime, let me - Donald Duck - contribute four interesting Dutch ads, scanned from some old mags I found a few days ago in a thrift store:

Not trying to sound snotty, but every time I see one of your posts, I click on the link and have no idea what I am supposed to be looking at? For example that is for 32 pages of ads, maybe 700 or so?

I agree, ianoid is due.

Others who deserve recognition (in my humble opinion):

Curt Vendel
rolenta
Sr. Ferraz

I suppose if Rom Hunter wins, homer, you'll have to put him in the 2007 slot.

My vote is for ianoid

Here are pics of my game room, which some are a year out of date. I am humbled to even be considered.

Sorry about that.

I was talking about the first four ads on that page.

Sometimes it's difficult to pick out specific ads.

Like I said, no biggie, I do wonder quite often what is being refferred to when your site is linked to. Typically it will be just a link, and I am not sure what is the item I should look at. If you didn't have so much on your site, it would be easier ;-)

P.S. If Rom Hunter wins, you can remove my slot and randomly assign it to someone else, like Mickey Mouse or something.

Thanks.

You say thanks like that every time you get fucked up the ass? What a kind little gearbox you are.

I thought he cashed out? Seem to remember a recent post saying everything was for sale. I could be wrong though?

I thought he was selling his spare stuff.

Nevertheless: a classic collector of the first hour.

Hey gang, thanks for mentioning me a few times. I am but a humble collector, picking up stuff hither and yon as I can. There are many more impressive than I, and I would certainly put Dino at (or near) the top of that list, not just because of collecting but because of having a lot of useful information that he is willing to share! Collecting is cool, but letting people benefit from your collecting experience, being open to questions, and having a friendly demeanor to me is the mark of a collector who stands out from the crowd. (I've only met a couple of AAers IRL, but there are a lot of people here I respect for their opinions.)

I will add, however, that in terms of collecting, I perhaps collected the best thing thus far: a job. It's true! I interviewed for, and was offered, and subsequently accepted, the position of Assistant Professor of Communication in Games & Interactive Media Design at High Point University (in High Point, North Carolina), and part of my strong interview came from my knowledge, and love, of video games, which is rooted in a solid foundation of Atari and the classics. (I even passed out those little Atari joysticks full of that nasty candy/gum during my teaching demonstration, which also involved modeling Pitfall and Halo t-shirts.) So tell your folks, kids, playing video games can get you a job!

Follow your dreams, you can do it, I'm living proof. BEEFCAKE!

Yes, do you? (I was already writing for DP fanzine way back in 93, the hardcore staff was Joe Santulli, Kevin Oleniacz (rip), Russ Perry Jr, Al and some others. All good friends of mine. My name also can be found in numerous DP Collector's Guides)

Hey Dino,

Thanks for the nod. I have been in this hobby for more than 20 years now. I have a pretty extensive collection, but it is not often photographed. Here is a picture that I took a few minutes ago.

IMG_5489.jpg

Many veteran collectors know me, but I'm usually pretty low key. I usually, buy, sell, trade and chat in private. I'm typically seen at the CGE auction bidding from the back row. I'm listed in most of the registries and I've been known to play the occasional, elaborate practical joke. (Yes, those games are all real and they are all mine).
