HINTS: Try using a combination of repeat fire with single firing in bursts that gives you some manoeuvrability. Make use of the height available to you, careful not to double back to soon. Release fire button when they fire to take evasive action. Rainbow modes are identical (well up to level 5 anyway) so master a safe technique and your set for the game Hey what happened to my other bonus point?! p.s. just scored 161,540 Only one HSC record bonus point to a player per game. Prevents "bonus pumping". I'll play a little more just to try and avoid being in last place, but that's all. I'm using my DC emulator for this one as my original cart got tossed the day I got it. This game was that aggravating. There's really only about 5-7 of these that I really like, the rest get played just out of sportsmanship. +therealbountybob Posted May 27, 2012 Share Posted May 27, 2012 In my final session I tried to go for 200K but failed but managed a small improvement to 188,880 awesome game 10/10 That orange bar is fuel - topped up by killing baddies so if you take too many snake rides and avoid stuff can get low near the end, I guess this comes into play on the higher levels (I must use a continue some time and see how much faster the atari's scrolling gets!) Congratulations on your nice win too I was out of it for a couple weeks(during Tapper ), due to a bad bug, but I'm getting my game back somewhat. I believe this is the most love Vanguard has received in a looong time. It's a really fun game once you learn the mechanics and have a good controller for precise movements ps*(haven't got the drive working just yet...)
