I guess I should just throw in "all vector games"

Space Fury!  That game is fucking impossible.

I've always enjoyed Defender, but I am terrible at it. I'm pretty good at the Entex VFD handheld though.

Thats another weird controller one..

I suppose a keyboard would work pretty well to simulate it though.
On Coleco you could use this sweet Asteroids controller..

The button oriented controls seem to work until a joystick is introduced too.

Though I guess having buttons to go up and down in Defenders case would be pretty frigging dumb.

What game do you really like, but at which you really suck?  For me:

If I like it I suck at it.

I played some pinball and slammed my crotch regions into the machine while playing.

I lasted longer.

I think the two are related.

Found a few new ones at which I suck:
- Chip 'n' Dale Resue Rangers
- Ducktales

Both for the NES  :-(

command and conquer: generals

I could play for days, but i have too much fun building and exploring with it to win against a human opponent.

Pretty much any scrolling shmup type game.  I like them and keep buying them, but I haven't beaten one since I was in high school.  R-Type, Raiden, Darius... you name it.  I love the gameplay, but just never that good at them.

Discovered yesterday that I really like Contra / Probotector, but I'm really terrible at it. It's actually a lot harder than I initially thought!
