PAL Heavy Sixer with Pictures

Hi,

 

I'v been a collector for many years, but never been active on forums such as AA.

 

Lately I've noticed the topic PAL Heavy 6-er pop up here and there.

 

Since I (well a collector friend has it now) found a PAL Heavy myself,

I thought it would be nice to post pictures. It's a fleamarket find in the Netherlands.

 

Found with some original text label carts. Bought from a non - collector, non reseller,

private seller.

So PAL Heavy Sixers really DO exist?! I always thought there were only Light Sixers in PAL.

Nice find!

It's interesting that this console is in PAL-B (for continental Europe) format. All the other I've seen so far were PAL-I (U.K. and Ireland) models, so I initially thought that PAL HS were only available in UK.

 

You can tell the format from the little "P" on the bottom left of the sticker. PAL-I units have an "U" instead (for "U.K.").

I can assure everyone Heavy Sixers did exist in the UK - I used to have one! Don't have it now, sadly.
