But the Atari isn't on the floor in front of a big black & White TV. That's how Atari was meant to be played. No chairs or color for me!

Where did the white tower shelf units on both sides of the larger shelf unit come from? I might like some like that for mine.

That's really wonderful. Nothing brightens a room like VCS boxes and cases.

The Mortal Kombat poster has no place in a VCS room. I demand that you take it down immediately.

It looks pretty good. The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the big blue shelf with all that white around it. Maybe if you got some kind of matching blue table cloth to put on the white table it would look more balanced.

Thanks

If I can , yes, but I already have some 'carts only', Springer, Miner II, Checkers, Frogger II. Those carts being put into the great Telegames boxes and I make my own cover. The Milton Bradley games are also loose and so is my repro MagiCard. But I try to get as little unboxed carts as possible.

I think you're referring to the TV tuner next to my monitor?
It's a Philips TV tuner which connects to the Sanyo monitor, and the VCS connects to the tuner, so I can use the VCS with my monitor. Neat solution.

Those are Ikea CD units, billie range. I was going to built my own shelf again but seeing my previous result, ugh...

It's a MK flag made from cloth, it was a shop display which I got for free. There's no Genesis in my room at the moment, but once I've managed to make some more space my Teradrive will be set up.

It bugs me too actually, my self made shelf kinda sucks, but now you got me motivated to paint the blue shelf white. Shit I should have done that whilst I was rearranging everything.

I got my fair share of squashed boxes, worn boxes and even boxes with top flaps missing.

I recommend the opposite and paint them all blue. Look at the boxes on the blue and then the ones on the white. The ones on the blue are framed well and it makes the colors on the boxes pop out. The white is the opposite. Instead of framing them well it makes them look like they are levitating against the wall and the colors on the boxes don't pop out. White looks plain like a hospital. The room would look better colorful. Also, framing the shelves with blue LED rope lights would look really cool. It would make it look casino/arcade like. You can find them at Walmart in the light bulb section.

Awesome room!  You could get rid of the tuner and give yourself some more desk space by doing an AV mod to your 2600 Jr.

Thanks
I know I could mod, but I like to keep my VCS undamaged, so to speak.
It dates back from my first collecting VCS during the 80s. I also have an 130XE, and I ran both on that monitor, and the tuner came in handy, as it provides  A/V inputs/outputs as well.

Yep. I'm with you. I want to reproduce the genuine 80s gaming experience as closely as possible.
