Old thread but didn't see any mention of the long and short versions that C64iSTANBUL made (ROMs included at the bottom of those links)

Is there a list of system codes reported by the SALT cart at its startup? I have a 65XE board on my bench now, which gives a block screen and the SALT cart reports "SYSTEM ERROR CODE-06".

SALT manual (or at least one of them) is inside the 600XL FSM.

According to that, 06 is "Address Line Check (could not get "unique" addresses using each line)"

Don't mean to poop the party here, but...

 

I just took a look at the overall code organization of Salt07, and it appears to be a chopped-down version of Salt205.

 

Salt205's "EXAMINE" function has been chopped out of Salt207, and it is not clear in favor of what, because there are several other areas in 2.07 where original 2.05 code has been pretty much pruned or removed.

 

Cart initialization and Execution vectors in $BFFA-$BFFF addresses are different between both, mostly due to the above changes.

 

I am not really sure what to think of, here.

Interesting.   Compare it to 206?

 

I’m not sure which salt we should be using.  Or super salt.
