For those who think that Ancient Aliens is purely SciFi - check out (Aerospace engineer) Christopher Dunn's book "Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt" in which he goes into considerable detail of specific examples. I've read a lot about advanced engineering and machining in ancient times, and I think it's totally possible. I'm not sure this is the place to discuss it though... However, I think ancient man was every bit as intelligent as man is today, and quite capable of having done it all on his own, without help from "aliens." I am not saying that intelligent life doesn't exist out there somewhere, in fact I'm sure it does, but we didn't need any help to do what we did or get to where we are today. If there was flying saucers zooming around way back when, I think we were perfectly capable of doing it ourselves, and rather than aliens coming to us, ancient man could have gone to the stars on his own. We are only talking of about several thousand or 5-10 thousand years here, and not tens, hundreds or millions, in the grand scheme of time, it was merely yesterday. And we are quite capable of having destroyed it all ourselves and just getting back to where we once where now. Machines and metal turned to dust, and only the permanence of stone remain. Look how far we've advanced in just the last 100 or 200 years. And now, with the push of a button, we could return ourselves to the stone age in a matter of minutes. The investment into nuclear weapons was a step in the wrong direction - had this was used for peaceful positive purposes - how far advanced can we be? There was a documentary which highlighted how a 13th Century medieval prayer text had overwritten a manuscript by Archimedes - and had this text not been lost for so long - that we could be as far ahead with a manned landing on Mars by now - though it did not detail why this text was so important - and how could it have impacted upon our space travel? Have you ever wondered why China and India has such a massive population now? Is it due to these civilisations being our oldest continuous civilisations? India have their Vedas texts which talk of history going back further than any other record(s) on this planet. Those who remember Erik Von Daniken's book and movie Chariots of the Gods - from 1968 and 1970 respectively - asked the question - Was God an Astronaut? It does make sense that all gods in all cultures were ETs. MK Jessup noted the ancient astronauts question back in 1956 with his book "UFO and the Bible" in which he pointed out how the Book of Ezekiel contained a description of the sighting of a UFO craft. Anyway - you'll know we are told that modern humans are of the order of around 4 or so million years old - but how far back can we trace our ancestors? There has been that fairly recent find of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey which is around 6000 years older than Stonehenge. There are various sites/artefacts around the world - that need some explanation. Puma Punku, Nan Madol - even in Japan - these are these mysterious stone constructs - odd shape and of a great size, Megalithic structures in the Ural mountains - that defy explanation - if done by primitive man? What happened long long ago - is the story of Atlantis at war with Mu - in which they destroyed each other - wiping out a higher tech civilisation greater than ours. ETs and UFOs are part of our cultural heritage - and most probably of our genetic makeup too. World religions don't educate us, but blind us from what we should know about. There's actually far more evidence backing up what Daniken proposed in his books - and if you have the money you can go on tours and inspect these artefacts and structures for yourself - those who can't afford it - can see the videos of Christopher Dunn, Brien Foerster and others who take you there. If you have an open mind - you can do your own research and think things through. Those who are close minded - and don't question what we are taught - simply find it too mind boggling to contemplate - how little we know of Earth's history. I don't see any leader in the western world preventing invention or production of these advancement you speak of... in fact no matter how 'stupid' you think they are, if they see it would profit mankind or let them beat their chest as to how great their respective neck of the woods is... They would be all for it. I feel a kind of sorrow for those that imprison themselves and blame others like that. There are still enough places where you will not be shipped off or put down like an ill dog for writing, thinking, or producing something great. The only hatred and vitriol I've seen have been from those claiming they are the most bestest tolerant and correct people on the planet. Hunting people down and harassing them for thoughts or association no matter how loosely or closely them are to a thing, no that stifles enlightenment, free thought, critical thinking, and ultimately progress. Let's keep positive! Please don't foist that into a thread about rasta image conversions... I do so love this thread and the works that are done here! I do love UK comedy, and sketch shows, I've been watching a lot of 'Come Fly with Us', 'Little Britian' and 'The Wild Ones' lately, and will look for these shows as well. But I got that picture from a fellow member on Atari Sector (Vyper68) that posted it as a joke in that forum, and just decided to do a Rasta conversion of it as a joke after Kiwilove said it would be nice if I did an image of Pyramids, but I already did the Great Pyramid.
