These have small line errors. They are a little more conspicuous in the PAL conversion.

You will see some lines that are not errors. I used 'line' dither. In some areas the dithering blends better than in other areas.

The above xex files are intended to be used with my palettes (see my sig) with saturation 40. The NTSC palette is set to match as best as I can with 800XL and my TV (a year 2000ish CRT model).

Here's a screen of my TV (NTSC).

Wow, those came out great! Really impressed by how saturated the red is..

I used saturated palettes while running rastaconverter. This does not directly affect the maximum color saturation as seen on the screen. It subtly changes which hue/luminance combos that are chosen by the program.

The level of saturation you actually see depends on how high it is set in an emulator or how high your have your monitor. I tend to have saturation very high on my TV so I have it high in emulators as well. In Altirra the saturation level I prefer is 40 (available under View>Adjust colors). Saturation=50 in that emulator produces just about the equivalent to maximum I can achieve on the my TV. I don't often view anything with saturation that high.

I won't post any picture conversion that has more saturation than I can get on the real hardware. You might have to turn it up on your TV/monitor to see it though.

I don't have an PAL hardware. I just try to keep such conversions looking close to my NTSC ones.

The Day The Earth Stood Still. 58 colors. Not my best, to be sure, and normally not good enough for me to post, but I spent a week trying to get this one right so here it is...

I love this conversion, Gunstar. I consider probably one of your top 3, excluding your car pics and automotive art conversions. They have a different criteria with me.

I appreciate that, my dissatisfaction with it lies in the streaking on the woman's skin. I just didn't get it set right for the proper shading there.

Temple Garden. 85 colors.

I hope I didn't already post this one before, I re-discovered it in a folder (the original image), and think it is one I attempted before but never to my satisfaction to post. But I might be mis-remembering, so sorry if this is a re-run image. :? But this is not an old converted .xex, it's a new conversion from the source.

This and a8's latest one are awesome! I've saved everything from this thread, I am currently at 1,119 images!!

Medieval Inn. 64 colors.

I did this conversion a while ago, but didn't think it was good enough to post for some reason. I came across it while enjoying some Rasta .xex's and it didn't look so bad to me this time around...

It's hard to believe this image has only 160x239 pixels.

Amazing!

Admiring Stratos. 52 colors. From Season 3 episode 21 'The Cloud Minders.'

I really like it except for some reason it chose to put lines across the face from the nose.... could it be run again? that rasta! I could try imagining it's breathing tubes since it tried to do the same thing near our vulcan friends ear..

There is a thin shadow there in the original image, the original image would have to be touched up. It's not like I run these once and get lucky...this was the dozenth attempt already.
