Mechanicjay
The protection is based on Sector 365 ($016D). The Basic file "BOOT" in disk image "Atari Book Keeper - Data Entry.ATR" has the protection code (sector #140 on the disk).( line 32760 in the BOOT file). Attached is unprotected "Atari Book Keeper - Data Entry.ATR" PRO disk image that was provided by AtariGeezer . Please note that the Software was not tested further madi That's amazing, thank you! It boots in an emulator. I'll write down a real disk and test tonight. Any chance you can do the "Reporting.pro" one too?

Any chance you can do the "Reporting.pro" one too? The company code should be : BENSON as stated in the Sample Data Base disk. I removed the protection, but did not thoroughly test the software package. The unprotected "Atari Book Keeper - Reporting.ATR" disk image is attached. madi Atari Book Keeper - Reporting.ATR
+David_P
As I recall, changing the seek routine to look for sector 0 instead of the designated bad sector bypasses this kind of protection.
