I been playing around with Altirra and just noticed that the latest version 2.10 won't boot my MYDOS disks. Versions 2.0, 1.9 and older have no problems with MYDOS. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks, the latest version (2.20 test 4) still won't allow me to boot MYDOS 4.1 or 4.5.

To Mclaneinc: Thank you, but yes, MYDOS 4.53 also works for me too. Its earlier versions like MYDOS 4.1 and 4.5 that do not work with Altirra 2.1. They had no problem with earlier versions of Altirra.

To wk1 as to 'why people start new topics", well that's easy. I am a free man and simply choose to.

Your Atr may be corrupted try it in a different [EMU] or a different 5.41 atr. Take out any autorun.sys files that may corrupt the booting sequence.

Hi ACML, I tried those versions too and they all work, could well be as Rdea6 says, a corrupt atr.

Does the same atr work on the old Altirra?

Could someone provide a copy of MYDOS 4.1 that works with Altirra 2.1? I've deduced that only MYDOS 4.1 has the problem. It does work on all previous versions of Altirra. I'm scratching my head as to why it works on older versions of Altirra, but not 2.1???

I can't find a 4.1 anywhere, 4.2 yes but not 4.1...Weird..

EDIT: Found one on a DOS multiboot on Pigwa and it does crash..

Got it... it's an issue with the refactored SIO hook code. Basically, the DSKINV implementation is not resetting the sector length field properly after a get status request. Workaround is to disable SIO patch, and it'll be fixed in next drop.

Hello guys

Check out my MyDOS page.

BTW should you have a version of MyDOS that's not on there yet, please send me a copy.

Mathy
