sega_SHARK
A lot of stuff in this has nothing to do with video games. It's my TV room where I play video games, and it is some sort of twisted shrine to 80's culture. I designed the TV room after a bootleg ceramic Darth Vader nightlight that I had as a child. It used to scare the sh*t out of me (no not literally). That's the nightlight along with my comic book boxes. They have mostly Marvel and Horror stuff in them. I got a letter printed in a Tales From The Crypt reprint in the 90's. I love horror comics. When I was four, my mom and sister went around and bought Darth Vader case and filled it with Star Wars figures. It took them months to find them all. They gave me the case filled with figures for christmas. I promptly went out to the sandbox the next summer and lost most of them (but I had a blast doing it). I went back years later and filled up another case with figures. Now I know how much of a pain in the butt it is. lol The case is on top of the shelf, and the white hardcover books are all Ian Fleming James Bond novels. They are imported from the UK. I love me some movie Bond, but Fleming's Bond is better. Much Better. The last christmas I got toys, I got a bunch of Secret Wars Marvel figures. I found some acrylic display boxes and put loose figures in them. I also collect AFA graded Secret Wars figures. What you are looking at is the highest graded examples on top of the acrylic display boxes. They look good above the TV, and give me something to stare at during loading screens. I can also remember The Transformers cartoon coming on at six in the morning on a Saturday (It replaced re-runs of G-Force and or Thundarr). I think Transformers have some of the best toy designs EVER. I like the 1984 Transformers. I have open acrylic display shelves for these. Transformers are still fun to play with. My niece goes apish*t for Transformers. Proof of enduring toy design. They are also fun to drag off the shelf and transform when I'm drinking beer and watching football. I have an AFA graded Megatron (which had to sneak through customs due to the fact that it didn't have an orange plug in the gun barrel), and a Prime graded by AFA. Both are produced by Takara in Japan, so all of the box art is in Japanese. I am also one of those people that aren't Star Wars fans.... They are EMPIRE fans. Poster is signed by crazy Carrie at the Motor City Comic con. Lightsabers are master replicas. My game collection is pretty small. I run an emulator for the NES. Nestopia on the Mac with controllermate for button mapping. I have a Dreamcast with a BBA connected to private servers. THANK YOU SO MUCH to the Dreamcast folks for building the servers. I have a PS3 that plays Blu Rays and gathers dust, and a YurkieVision. I gotta go play BurgerTime now, thanks for looking at my Forty Year Old Virgin Room. lol

gorfcadet
Wow! We have very similar collections! I went Super Powers instead of Secret Wars though. I really dig the display cases. Do you mind posting a link if you bought them online?

marillion
Ah...Super Powers and Secret Wars. You guys don't want to see what I've had (and subsequently sold off due to burnout). Great game room, though! Peace, Chip
sega_SHARK
Here's some of my starter collection. I'm really starting to get OCD about the big white Atari manuals. Some Colecovision games, sorry about the blur. I just took some quick pics with my phone. More Coleco games. This is a Colecovision game too. :-D I'm on the prowl for a controller overlay for Lord of the Dungeon, so let me know if you have one. Yeah, loose on bottom in an acrylic case, Toys 'R Us fresh on the top. Hey, don't think I didn't notice those three season of Star Trek original series! Yeah, I really liked the reruns of the original Star Trek when I was a kid. I got into original Star Trek again because I loved the costumes, props, and set designs of the old series. They really did so much with a small budget. I might start my third run of watching the series again.
sega_SHARK
Ok, it's been a while... but I have added some fun stuff. I got a black Gamecube (and a portable screen, and a battery pack, and a GBA player....) and I found a really cool retro style skin to stick on it. And here is my starter collection of CV homebrew goodness! DK is a custom box by PhattyBoomBatty... Cool stuff! Here is my starter collection of what I hope to be a complete set of Parker Brothers CV complete in box. The Star Wars is a Canadian version because I'm a sucker for two piece boxes. SNES complete in box. Some alternate controllers for the CV. Princess Quest and Ghosts and Zombies are super fun with the euro 7800 pad! and I know, I know... Where's the SEGA love? Tracked a second one of these down!
