Tempest Posted February 6, 2003 Share Posted February 6, 2003 Just a quick question for anyone with acess to a 400/800 Pole Position cart. Are the tires on the car supposed to have a green hue to them? They still look black, but they have a greenish tinge to them. I can't tell if it's my crappy 1200XL video (although I did do the Super Video 2.1 mod and I'm using S-Video) or if it's just supposed to be that way. I did notice that the picture looked "crisper" on my 130XE without any mods compared to my 1200XL with all the mods. I guess the 130XE was just made better... Gunstar Posted February 6, 2003 Share Posted February 6, 2003 Yes, they do have a green hue to them, no matter what system you're using (don't the car explosions suck? both color-wise and animation-wise? what's up with that!) You're also right about the 130XE having much crisper S-video, that's why I never understood why people wanted to do these S-video mods on the XL machines, I'd just assumed they were as good...(never had my XL hooked up via S-video) the 800 seems as good to me as the XE though... I guess as the 3rd color of the sprite is generated by the overlap of PMG's its not a precise color that gets generated, so if yellow-y green and blue are overlapped you may well get dark green for the tires! sTeVE Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
