Bryan
I was just thinking today that since the Happy upgrade was basically just more RAM and the ability to upload code, an Indus GT with a RAMcharger could have been awesome if the right software had been developed. It could have done everything except long tracks which require slowing the drive or speeding up the controller.
+Stephen
But it is still awesome, because it does CP/M P:)
WizWor
Could have been had there not been a 1050. All Hail the Almighty 1050 Disk Drive -- the Ultimate Coipier! PS the first computer I ever copied an atari disk on was running MS-DOS.
+bf2k+
My ultimate copier back in the day (80's) was 2 Happy 1050's - they'd scream thru SSSD disks.

I remember going to the Atari Computer Club meetings shortly after the 130XE came out, and 2 Happy 1050s with the "128K all-in-one-pass" sector copier came in really handy! I think there was a way (???) to read from 1 Happy drive and write to 3, simultaneously?? I could be wrong - as that was a long time ago. If there is more than 1 Happy drive present the Multi-Drive-Program option of the Happy Warp Speed Software can be used, this allows reading from the lowest numbered drive and writing to up to 3 others. lemiel
There is extension to Indus GT like that - TOMS Multi Drive - but it was not using RAMCharger. Oh and anothers: Toms Turbo Drive, Tygrys Turbo, Flash Turbo, but they had only new OS ROM (not sure about Flash) without track buffering. drac030
Not really anything to the topic, but here's something for Indus GT owners: http://drac030.krap.pl/xb.zip Instructions: 1) have an Indus GT, or LDW 2000 Super, or CA-2001 drive as D1 2) rename xb.zip to xb.com (it is not zipped) 3) run from DOS prompt on Atari
