Yes, it's a mime-type problem.  Unfortunately, I do not have access to configure it, so I have to contact the hosting service.  In the meantime, I've wrapped it in a ZIP archive.

-dZ.

P.S. It's actually quite stupid because the RFC says that the default, when unknown, is to treat it as "binary/octet-stream."

OK, I found the configurations in the hosting site's control panel (I haven't been here in a while!).  I've updated the MIME types and tested the DMG file.  It works now. :)

THANKS!

Wow, you made it to the title screen of Atari Age. That´s one kind of a thing (almost as unique as the custom rom).  :)

Yeah! That was cool. I submitted the news item last night, and this morning I got a response from Albert that he was going to post it.

Now, if Slashdot would only do the same with my submission… :)

You can save up to buy the cartridge game, which is a great collectible with its beautiful box, overlays, and manual; but the game ROM is available for free download.  :)

Check it out on the official contest page.

Has anyone been able to get the rom to work on the Cuttle Cart 3? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have older demo on the cart and it works. The 2010 copyright one is the demo, right? This one would say 2012 I assume. I unzipped the ROM one it and put it on the cart. It says it is 74KB, does that sound correct? Thanks for any help.

Yes, I have.  74KB sounds about right (Carol's a big girl). :)

Like someone else said, for the CC3 you need to rename it.  I believe it has a limit of 8 characters per name.  I typically call it "xmas.rom" in mine.

With Christmas Carol, the controllers work rather sweet! :)

It starts in December.  This is the pre-announcement to the contest.  Mostly to get the ROM out there so that people can get ready, especially during the Thanksgiving holiday (here in USA).

There's the official app from Intellivision Productions, Inc.

It comes with Astrosmash, abd you can in-app-purchase three or four other games.

Renaming the rom the same as the old one worked. Thanks for the help. What a great game, it is really smooth with the stock controller and the graphics look excellent.

Aha! No worries!  The "ROM Only" version contains both:  the "ROM" and the "BIN+CFG".  Just take the "BIN" and rename it to "INT," and along with the "CFG" you're good to go! :)

If you're running the jzIntv PSP port, in theory it should run both .ROM and BIN+CFG formats.  I've never used the PSP port (I didn't make the port, even), but the underlying emulator supports both.  As dZ said upthread, you could start with the BIN+CFG format, renaming it to end in ".int".

This is great, thank you!! What is a respectable score in this game? I don't want to get too excited about nothing.

Also, any tips from the veterans?

Here's a tip:  If you read the manual (available in PDF format for download at the site), it has a list of helpful tips and tricks in the back. :)

I'd let others share any tips or tricks they discover on their own.  It's not fair if I give them out, since I know every nook and cranny of the game. :)
