What is the best available rotary controller to use for all games that support rotary?

I can't comment on the others, but I'm using a Chaos Reigns (and love it)

sh3 tests with several other rotaries though, as long as they support all the buttons of a regular Jagpad, they should work fine.

Any idea where I can get one of those?  I know Goat Store used to carry them, but they don't anymore.

I heard from the guy who makes the CR rotaries a while ago. His plan was to make more, but since then I've not seen any sign of them.

But as CJ said, you can adjust the sensitivity in-game and as long as the pad supports all buttons it will be fine for current and future games.

Received the game yesterday.

I like the package and the cd print, very nice!

It's obvious to see the differences/upgrades in this final version, and I think that it worked out well.
It was kind of a shock though :P , to discover that the saved balloon people don't shout anymore, but the new sound effect suits the game fine, if not better as it's more arcade sound.

I can't remember if the demo of KM supported the Memory Track, but this final version certainly does, and that's a big plus for an arcade game like this.

A big thanks to everybody involved in this project!

I just checked the source code just to be 101% certain: yes, the original version supported MT saves, but no webcodes. Speaking of which, we should make a hiscores competition soon, so start racking up points!

Ahh that's right, I should have announced this already but I've not been well enough to sort things out (damn this manflu!). I'm not sure when the deadline will be but it'll span something like 6 weeks or so to give those living further away a chance to receive their copies in time. There will be a prize for top score and also a "raffle" prize (randomly chosen entry in the whole high score table. There won't be a limit on number of entries, so feel free to input all your scores if you like - just use a name we'll be able to track back to you when you enter your score!). I'll try to get my head straight enough to put down some better details soon and give some idea of what we have to give away (all Jaguar-related items).

The high scores are handled by the RAPTOR library, so memory track support is AutoMagictm   :)

I learned the demo version saved to memory track by accident, when I went into the memory track menu because another game I thought I had saved wasn't loading. I saw the KM save at that time.

There is no demo version ;)

The download is the original full 1.0 release.

Sorry, my mistake, I know it's not a demo, just a bad choice of word during on-the-fly typing. I should have said "freeware" or something. I wouldn't have thought of calling it V 1.0 though...but now I know to call it that.

I've put up the details of the KM:F High Score Competition on the Reboot site. Prizes should be interesting for collectors or gamers and those particular to bizarre Atari books from Japan

You mean, the code I gave you to include in your lib? ;) I just wasn't sure we included it back in KM is all.

Kev - did you ever get a suitable rotary controller?  I'm still bummed that one I tried to wire up for you didn't work.

Nice - good to see you still around.  How did you finally get it working?  I need to do a little fixing up on my old controller.  I haven't yet got a copy of Impulse X.

Real shame about the barren wasteland the Nuon scene has been.  I hope LeGrand comes back to the forum, and at least posts a reply to me.

The joystick sat in my closet in disrepair for years. Last winter I was looking for a project and decided to finally find a better encoder and straighten out all the wiring. Here's the encoder I ended up using:

I've got a friend who does vinyl graphics, he created the Jaguar logos for it, I think they really finish it off nicely.
