Installing NewColeco's devkit in Windows 7

Windows 7 didn't like doing some of the copying into program files folder.... had to do that part manually... hope it works..

Stupid question, but did you make sure the file manager or command line you used had Administrator rights?

 

You know - right mouse click on cmd.exe and hit "Run As Administrator"?

 

Also, if you previously ran any program even remotely connected with the devkit some files may still be in use. You may even need to restart your computer *just* to make sure.

1. put my files in c:\colecovision\z80

2. uninstalled and reinstalled sdcc

3. opened CMD as admin and went to c:\colecovision\z80 and ran the bat file... it did take longer so looks like that definitely helped.. and didn't do the same as right clicking the bat file and saying run as admin.

4. copied cci2.exe to the test folder, clicked compile all.... clicked Default.. clicked Link.. same error.
