Vocelli
NEW SEASON ~ The NEW High Score Club Season 2: The First Game will be posted May 11. First off. Thank you everyone who made suggestions. I had over 100 games requested! I took some from the website and some from your IM's. Some were not picked for various reasons. Some didn't make HSC sense, some already were played the past couple years and some were not even Atari games (Sorry, no Zelda guys). But for the most part it is a good list. We will try to following the list below but once in a while a 'special week' will come up. They will usually be during holiday weeks but you never know. The whole season will consist of between 27-35 games and as always the TOP 24 will compete in the bracket challenge after the season is over. PLEASE spread the word we are starting again in May. Here are the Details: The First Game will be posted May 11. ‘The Classics’. We will play 3 classic favorites that everyone loved at the arcade. We will play 3 your suggestions. We will play 3 games from the ‘Top 100 Atari Games’ list that have ranked in the top 20. We will play 3 your suggestions. Wow, we will play 2 homebrews which I will announce before hand. Most likely May 11. We will play 3 your suggestions Paddle weeks. We will Play 2 Paddle Games We will play 3 of your suggestions We will play 2 games that were NEVER played. The last 3 weeks we will play Wild Cards. Double points and beat the leader weeks. There will be several special weeks ! The First Game will be posted May 11. So there you go. Have fun. Go practice. Go buy extra controllers and paddles. Vocelli Edited April 8, 2013 by Vocelli
+craftsmanMIKE
A full list of the actual games would be great. The biggest challenge I have playing in the HSC is getting the cart in early enough to get some real playtime in. Not not a schedule of when they will be played, just a list so we could be prepared. More people might play if there was time to get the cart???? Just my two cents worth. And yes I am working on getting a harmony cart.

Some homebrews are available for download for those who use emulation, including Colony 7, Conquest of Mars, Lady Bug, Rainbow Invaders, and Toyshop Trouble. Dan Iacovelli
if you look through the forum I know somebody posted a zip file with close to every homebrew made (I think it was rom hunter)
TheSmirk
Sounds like fun, I believe I'll be throwing my hat into the ring this go-round...anything that gives me an "excuse" to play
+craftsmanMIKE
Cool, I've also ordered a USB joystick to hopefully cover the emulation end of it. I really just want to be able to post every week. I hate waiting till thursday for a cart to show up, watching everyones scores climb, while I look out the window for the mailman!!! Boo Hooo sad for me. And even then with some of the stranger (to me) third party stuff played here it's a 50/50 on getting it working. And I really like to play on REAL hardware whenever possible. I recall seeing the name "rom hunter" looking around "AA", I'll definitely check him out. Thanks for the info. I'll ask any new harmony questions in that thread from here out, unless it is HSC specific.

He runs Atarimania a great site where you can obtain many informations and also roms: http://www.atarimania.com/ Check this site! Since I got my harmony, I put a great harmony pack made by Rom Hunter and put it in. I almost never need to use emulators now.

I tried thunderground on stella with the keyboard. NOT FOR ME!! I look forward to the flexibility of the Harmony and the benefit of consistency in the HSC. Thanks for the reassurance!! oyamafamily
2600 HSClubers: Before starting the new season of the new 2600 HSC, I would like to invite you to visit the 2600 Jr. Pac-Man HSC. Play Jr. Pac-Man on DEFAULT SETTINGS - 4 ghosts (including RED Ghost) / Bicycle as a Starting Level (Brown Maze). Just press FIRE after opening this game. Mister-VCS
I will give it a try. Nice idea! Jr. Pac Man is a very hard game. I would like to see Pac-Man 2600 in an extra HSC-contest...
Gray
I look forward to playing some new(old) games! Although I am only able to play with Stella ... Still should be fun! Nice to see things like this running. Gives people a bit of "context" and motivation to play some of these games.

RJ
I'd gladly play if the mandatory photo rule was lifted.
Gorfy
I'd gladly play if the mandatory photo rule was lifted. Photos have been optional (yet encouraged) in the past. Has that changed for the new season? @Vocelli -- has a decision been made on this? @RJ -- Just out of curiosity, what are your reservations about taking photos?
