I did not see it mentioned here before but if it is old new I'm sorry.

Jeff Minter (of Tempest 2000 fame) has released a revamped version of his oldy Gridrunner for Android and iOS. The Android version is Donationware and the iOS version is $0.99.

Maybe this is the time to upgrade my Symbian phone to Android :P

That man is incredible. He must be the recordholder for creating games for the bigest number of different systems/platforms. He programmed for VIC-20, C64, ZX-spectrum, Atari 8-bit, Atari ST, Konix, Jaguar, Nuon, X-box, PocketPC, iOS, Windows and many more. And now Sony Vita :-o

I tried to run it on my Viewsonic Viewpad 10e with ICS but the graphics were completly corrupted and it would not let me play the game. Guess the hardware is not the best for gaming anyway:-)

Jesus, has the man created an original sound effect in the last 15 years? How he's avoided being cease-and-desisted for his blatant sampling is a constant mystery to me.

TxK is going to push me into doing something I really don't want to do...buying a Vita.

FYI, Gridrunner for Android is playable on Ouya as well (movement with the D-Pad).

Gridrunner is one of my favorite games on the ipad/iphone, especially using any of the icade products for controls.
