Drakon
I love playing gba, gbc and gb games on my tv, thusly I decided to get myself a gamecube with a gb player. I hate optical drives, luckily for the gamecube there's a fpga solution that replaces the dvd drive and lets you run isos from a sd card. I'm gonna swap the case with a black case when that arrives. OldSchoolRetroGamer
Uh yeah DETAILS please ? Link for this mod or kit? You are not really just going to drop a bomb like that and leave us hanging? How well does it perform? Is it a 100% compatible optical replacement? Drakon
I'm using the wiikey fusion. So far it's run every game I've tried without any issues. Here's the guide: http://www.gc-foreve....php?f=26&t=416 I strongly recommend wiring it up with a ribbon to dip adapter board. Soldering straight to the ribbon cable didn't really work for me. Greg2600
This is a great new technology for gaming. Assuming the primary benefit to the SD launchers from Code Junkies is that streaming media works?
Drakon
This is a great new technology for gaming. Assuming the primary benefit to the SD launchers from Code Junkies is that streaming media works? It works fine with every game I try. I asked around apparently the gamecube uses some sort of "smart dvd drive" that's very easy to recreate using fpga. The wii uses the same sort of drive this sd device is actually designed for the wii.
