cimerians
The Ouya the gamestick and now an official console from Google? http://kotaku.com/report-google-is-making-a-video-game-console-603208145?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Twitter&utm_source=Kotaku_Twitter&utm_medium=Socialflow Apple TV is going somewhere and then possibly Valve doing a Steam Box? Sounds like this may be overkill. 1983 all over again? I think video games are here to stay forever but stretching people over that many consoles? I wonder what things will be like five or six years from now.
Emehr
And mounds of shovelware in the Google Play store to choose from! It'll be a hit!
+Gemintronic
I hope people start to realise they DON'T have to stretch a darn thing for an Android based machine. They go down to $38 bucks!

I'm not really sure where AppleTV is going to try and make its mark, but I don't see it being a major force... too few people even know what the thing is. But overall, yeah, I'm watching the big three fight over the market that's not big enough for all of them, and each time they turn around, one of these other Up-and-Commers is making things even more crowded. No one has time to keep up with all this! For years we've been wondering if another crash was due. For me, at least, it's already happened. cimerians
Its also reported here: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/06/27/report-google-is-developing-a-game-console.aspx?utm_content=buffer77e54&utm_source=buffer&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Buffer ...and a wrist watch. Modern video games are like something from a Douglas Adams book or maybe Google thinks that way.

Reaperman
good. Let it come. If google starts up a section (or filter) on their store for games with full controller support...it'll make it easier to figure out what I can side-load onto my ouya without issues. I may even just go for their whole console if the game selection is night-and-day better. Edited June 28, 2013 by Reaperman

JamesD
Google has the money but given their data mining history... I'd rather avoid their products.
Vic George 2K3
Mounds of shovelware or mounds of really difficult and very long $60-plus games that very few people can learn how to play properly? Hmmm, tough choice...
