AtariGuy
Anyone find a good 2.5" drive to use with MyIDE? I've tried 3, and none work with it. I'd like to use one so I can mount it inside an 800xl, and there's not much room in there. Anyone have any luck with this? Thanks, Mike
jon-paul
Conner work best with Amiga's in my experiance The Spectrum 128+3e project has made a list of what works with their machines here:- http://www.zxplus3e.plus.com/compatible.html and the not happy drives are listed here:- http://www.zxplus3e.plus.com/incompatible.html Considering the tech etc that we are dealing with i should suspect simmilar results. Goochman
Try some Quantum drives though I could only get a 5 1/4 Bigfoot mech to work - the Fireball one I tried 'almost' worked but was flaky.
PFonck
I've been discussing this with Mr.Atari and he claims most of them should work though I have tried many 2,5" disks and none of them worked, though my homebuilt MyIDE interface does work fine with 3,5" disks. I think it's time for some action and I will try to make an appointment with Mr.Atari to see if we can solve this.
AtariGuy
I think it might be my ide adaptor...because i can't get these hard drives to work in a PC either. But on another note, I did get an IDE to CF adaptor, and it works with MyIDE. http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21570 I'm ordering another 2.5" IDE adaptor today...and keep you posted.
