Animan
http://ouyaforum.com...na-Team-Kakumei First officially released game from Team Kakumei (which consists of me and a few other members). Glad to finally see this game on the OUYA marketplace! Here's a video of me showing an older build of the game; we should have some video footage of the current build on YouTube sometime in the near future: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpYe6grq1xg
+Gemintronic
Does this game support offline play? Meaning, does it always have to validate online before you can play it? How has developing with Unity gone for you? Any feedback on the art style? How is the feedback from people who don't get the art style? Does that color the rest of their input? I meant to join you in Ouya development but Game Maker is still working on support.
Animan
Does this game support offline play? Meaning, does it always have to validate online before you can play it? Of course! Both the free and paid versions will work offline! An internet connection is required to initially purchase the full game, but after that one-time purchase you won't need an internet connection at anytime. How has developing with Unity gone for you? It's gone great! Some minor set up quirks to get it working on the OUYA (mostly if you'll be doing in-app purchases), but I have little to no complaints with anything about Unity. Any feedback on the art style? How is the feedback from people who don't get the art style? Does that color the rest of their input? I haven't heard anything negative about the artwork; most of the comments I've gotten have been "it looks pretty good!" or "it reminds me of when I drew stuff in middle school" (in a good way). +Gemintronic
I think Unity stops being free after you make, what? $10,000 dollars? Let us know when you come close UPDATE: Corrected by Animan.
Animan
I think Unity stops being free after you make, what? $10,000 dollars? Let us know when you come close $100,000, not $10,000. From their official site: "Unity Free, which include the free platform add-on products, may not be licensed or used by a commercial entity with annual gross revenues (based on prior fiscal year) in excess of US$100,000, or by an educational, academic, non-profit or government entity with a total annual budget for the entire entity (based on prior fiscal year) in excess of US$100,000." That might be awhile, though. Edited August 13, 2013 by Animan
Tickled_Pink
On OUYA, unfortunately yes. The best two selling games haven't got anywhere near that. It is perhaps one of the reasons it doesn't have any major exclusives to use as a selling point. Gamers aren't buying on the platform - highlighting the dangers to developers of offering so much free to play. OUYA have got a scheme where, if you raise $50,000 via Kickstarter for a 6 month OUYA exclusive game, they'll give you an extra $250,000. The fund itself is only $1million. So they're willing to blow $1million on just four games. There are a lot of schemes by struggling platforms floating around (Microsoft have a Unity competition and are offering free Windows Phones for Marmalade developers, and there's a fund through Nokia) but this has to be the worst thought out of the lot. Are you planning on launching the title onto other platforms?
DaytonaUSA
Kinda hard to tell if I'd dig it without trying it, but I wish you the best of luck either way . The system doesn't seem to be selling a ton of games. I guess it's the issue you run into when the console is so "open" to emulation and modding. I'm probably going to get another one in a bit if they ever find a way to fix the incredibly weak wifi adapter inside which can't seem to access my router downstairs. If they make the improvement, I hope to jump into the system with open arms. In the meantime, if anyone has an idea on how to boost the Ouya's range, please let me know. And no, I can't move my wifi router, nor do I have any wired ethernet jacks in the walls upstairs in our media room.

Are you planning on launching the title onto other platforms? We currently aren't planning to release it on other platforms, at least not in the near future. We don't want to shoehorn the game onto a button-less mobile phone or tablet, and porting the game over to the Wii U, PS4, etc. is still out of our reach for now (the porting job itself will be easy since we made the game in Unity3D, but licensing costs and such are still high). Besides, we have faith in the little silver box. She just needs more time. Also, if this isn't a major exclusive, I don't know what is: http://www.huffingto..._n_3762329.html
