AMenard
Yeah, SCREW THAT! I could buy a brand new F18A & HDTV and still pocket a few hundred extra bucks! Isn't the TI99/4a color monitor just a stripped down consumer TV anyway?

digdugnate
i've reached the compromise where i just use an el-cheapo walmart flat panel tv. it cost me $99 and is sufficient for my needs. (edit to add) well... until i put an F18A in there. Edited December 4, 2017 by digdugnate
AMenard
I give myself the next year to find an acceptable alternative to the Amiga 1080 and CRT TV that I still use. I may have to save and buy myself a Framemeister if need be.

Omega-TI
QI ? QI = Quality Ignored (At least from the long term reliability of the Mitsumi keyboard). The original "Quality Improved" monicker was just marketing spin to explain their cost reduction and cripple ware implementation.
+OLD CS1
QI ? That was my question. There is no photo of the bottom nor the side port, which are what I use to make that determination.

+Ksarul
Note, that one looks like it may not be a Mitsumi keyboard. Mitsumi's had much more of a square effect to their keytops. . .here's a beige one that isn't Mitsumi. Mitsumi's had much more of a square effect to their keytops. . .here's a beige one that isn't Mitsumi. I have picked up two (or three? have to double-check*) "QI" systems which have the good beige keyboards. That keyboard, even though it is not a Mitsumi, I guaran-damn-tee that one in the auction is the post-action/membrane style, per my old blog post. https://atariage.com/forums/blogs/entry/12110-the-good-beige-994a-keyboard/ * Nope, just two. The third one, which was my first purchased, came with that stupid Alps.

+9640News
I will talk to a buddy of mine who has a massive collection of esoteric shyt like that tomorrow and let you know if I can help. Thanks. I have quite a few cables for MFM drives, however, the problem is both the connector on the hard drive as well as the connector on the Myarc HFDC are both with edge card connectors. Typical PC computers of the time had the connector on the motherboard that would slip over pins and not an edge connector. Any help would be appreciated. atrax27407
Check for adapters on eBay (pin to edgecard). I bought some there a while back.

He said he probably has one in his box but that it will be IDC header to card-edge. I might get to dig through it today or tomorrow.
+9640News
Thanks for the comments. I finally found on ebay the appropriate cable, however I did question a bit whether the issue of length. I did have some longer cables with the wrong connectors, so I found the actual 34 pin connectors themselves and ordered them. They should be here in about a week. Had I still been in Houston, there was a store I could have went to and found all I needed, but not as many options now I am here in Kentucky. I did get my Geneve up and running using the Myarc HFDC with a separate Myarc FDC using the HxC Floppy drive as two drives and another 5.25" floppy drive. So, I should be able to copy my stuff from MESS over to my Geneve now. Just takes time. Now, working on getting the TI-99/4A setup with a Myarc HFDC. I am hoping it has been a cable issue I have been having and not a card issue with one of these other two HFDC's I have. Beery

Yeah, I read about this guy before. I cannot remember what it was about, but it must have been bad because the name appears on my NO BUY FROM list.
+OLD CS1
I keep forgetting about our new favorite seller But, here is a good one. Actually a rather neat little joystick adapter, though from a seemingly new seller with only two feedback points. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 282766826994
