He might have pulled the game binaries from the TI Gamebase. I wonder if he has included the newer homebrew games from Rasmus et al...

99.99% of the software available for the TI is free domain or abandonware, so the price he's charging is quite reasonable for a physical disk and I wouldn't worry about copyright issues that much here.

I disagree. US$6 is quite unreasonable given the cost of media and the ease at which someone can make a disc, in particular for software which is available elsewhere including those dubiously designated as "abandonware."

For one, I do not want anything I produce made available in such a collection, even if I meet my untimely demise sky diving with super models. I made and will make them available to the community, and I will give my blessing on commercialized releases (like Greg with my tapes or potential cartridges when I produce something cartridge-worthy) for those who ask me.

Perhaps I am being a control freak, but my name is on the product and I want no one to profit from or represent my name without my say-so, dead or alive.

I guess you could add that neither Classic99 nor MAME permit their emulators to be included in such a compilation, and note that copyright notwithstanding, the seller is probably disregarding at least one product's license. ;) (Restricted list to these two since it calls out Windows emulation)

Thing is, someone has to buy one to confirm it has stuff it's not supposed to. Now for it to contain 800 programs, I wonder how many are 'lost BASIC programs' that were lost for a reason! icon_razz.gif

Like the "Public Domain" collections you can buy at WalMart.

Yeah, someone used to list "Classic99" in the auction, until I messaged him. The auction still went up, but it stopped listing what emulators were included. No idea if it's the same guy.

Well it has the Corcomp DSDD card- worth 200 to 250 and the other cards are a little more rare than the TI cards, so it may be worth it.

Is this your system? I did not see a CorComp FDC listed in the details.

I had the opportunity to get a CorComp FDC once, (like I had back in the day), but in the end decided to just get the 80 track upgrade for my TI FDC. I figured 360K is 360K and the chips for the upgrade came in under $20.00 IIRC.

Not listed, but in the photos.

Looks like the price has gone up to $649 plus shipping. That is too much for what's in that auction. . .

Agreed. Maybe the seller peeked in here and thinks he can get more because it has a couple of 3rd party cards, or because the page is getting higher than normal activity?

Green Monitor - Really? Who would pay to ship it?

Myarc RS-232 - It works, but doesn't that card interfere with something?

CorComp FDC - Okay, it's DSDD, but it may need to be modified to work with other devices.

CorComp 32K - 32K is 32K, no big deal here.

The condition of that stuff is marginal at best. Also, I see two Wico manuals, but no Wico Joystick or trackball, only TI pain sticks.

Actually, green monitors are retro :). And, getting hard to get.

It'll be interesting to see what this ultimately goes for. I imagine before the TIPI arrived on the scene, this probably would have been a bigger draw. Still, if all one wants is a SSHD and the price stays reasonable...

The on board RTC is intriguing, does anyone know if it conforms to the CorComp scheme?
