As of last night, my car is toast. Mangled it four blocks from home after a two and a half hour drive. This one is very high on my list of irksome issues, as it was paid for and in great mechanical shape (I've had it since it was new). My older son was upset, because we've had that car since two weeks before he was born. . .but he was also glad that I didn't get hurt.

Hey guys, I'm on the lookout for an old vga monitor, either LCD or CRT that outputs 15khz (Amiga signal). If you come across one of have one and ant to pass it on, give me a heads up. Something I need to consider vs. the price of a scan-doubler which would cost me about $100 shipped. I'm looking to spend half that if possible. Else I may have to consider the scan doubler later this year.

Here is a post for you Sinphaltimus....

I've been using an inexpensive wireless Logitech K270 keyboard paired with a cheap Logitech M310 mouse for about three years now, but it's time to upgrade to something a better.

Anyway, I just bought a Logitech M705 mouse, but it looks like I'll have to take it back because I just found out that it will not pair with the Logitech K800 keyboard I planned to purchase. I guess I put the cart before the horse. :(

So, now the plan now is to get a wireless keyboard/mouse combo in one package. The problem is, many of the keyboards appear to be cheap or come with a cheap mouse... which sort of defeats the purpose of upgrading.

With all this in mind, I'm asking for advice from anyone who has recently purchased a decent mouse/keyboard combo in the $100.00 - $150.00 price range. Did you get anything that you are happy with and would recommend?

My apologies. I can't help with this. I loathe wireless input devices.

Security concerns? Actually even wired keyboards give off RF signals that can be intercepted. One of the best approaches is not to spend vast amounts of money to mitigate RF leakage, but instead a few bucks to flood the area with more, thus denying any potential security leak vector with a useless unintelligible signal.

Not so much security concerns (at home) but for the sake of performance and batteries.

I'm not too concerned about batteries, and for what I do the performance is more than adequate. Wired was not an option for me as I already have a full USB hub and did not want to buy another one just for a keyboard. I ended up with the MK710 combo which is essentially a MK710 keyboard paired with an M705 mouse.

I received a question in a private msg I thought I'd share the answer publicly. \

Your new pic creeps me out... what exactly is it?

Answer: LOL, It's my attempt at using an XBOX 360 Kinect to 3D scan my face, this is what it looked like in meshlab as a 3D cloud object with texture.
