Post a Score on Sector 10. ~It can be your final score OR an ‘in game’ score BUT IT MUST READ ‘Sector 10’ and you must have a least ONE remaining enemy ship on Sector 10. ~That means DO NOT destroy the Mother Ship on Sector 10 because it will go to Sector 11. (sector 11 bad , Sector 10 GOOD) ~So take your pic before you destroy that Mother Ship on Sector 10 OR take a death with one enemy ship remaining and capture your Pic. Sector 11 Pics DO NOT count. Beamrider: 14,930 (sector 10) So far, I have a hard time liking this game. I wasn't particularly blown away by the C64 version either back in the days. But compared to my first few attempts earlier this week, this score is motivating. There is definetly a little room for improvement. It's a great and unique game. I've read some comparisons with Juno First but, regardless graphics, Beamrider is very different and I don't know why it wasn't a huge sucess at the time (very futuristic, high tech, and remembers me a little of Tron). From the small number of extra lives you have left, I assume you were hanging out sniping chirper ships? Here are my new scores.
