JadeETC
This afternoon I wen for a cruise on my bike. I drove to abandoned gas station and went down the over-grown trail behind it. I didn't get far, I was blocked by a destroyed barbed wire fence. I didn't plan on going that far anyway. A sign on the fence read, "SMILE YOUR ON CAMERA", this didn't bother me much as this fence was decades old, some kids probably just did it just to scare people. But on my way out, something caught my eye. At first it looked like an old phone, but when I saw what it was, my heart broke. I picked it up and left quickly, no one's supposed to be back there. I didn't see anything else, I'll go back later tonight and check.
Dripfree
Maybe just go back with a shovel and give it a proper burial.
carlsson
I suppose you picked it up entirely for environmental concerns, that plastic will take a lot of time to degrade and should be left to a recycling center?
StoneAgeGamer
Still not as yellowed as some SNES I have seen.
Reaperman
Looks like you've found yourself quite a piece of 'leaverite.'

Kyle22
Take it apart, clean and dry everything, spray it out with freon or compressed air. You never know..... Good luck. -K
Blazing Lazers
Go back and pick that up- you were meant to save it.
Jeremy Popp
Thats a pretty awesome find. Once I found an old pong game in similar condition at an abandoned house. For fun I cleaned it up so I could test it, but after opening it, I realized it was a lost cause due to rust and mud. The power supply plug was so rusted that i couldn't plug anything into it, so sad Edited October 18, 2013 by Jeremy Popp
+thegoldenband
I love it when items like this get rescued. Sometimes even the most beaten-up consoles can be salvaged, or (as in the linked thread) transformed into something entirely new.
