Ethaniel
Hello everyone. I have a Compumate unit since 2009. (sn BC0100007053). Next month there will be a retro show here in Athens and I will participate with my atari hardware. I really want to show the compumate but i think it either has a problem or i am not operating it correct. It works fine (all keys and all builtin programs) but i can't load programs from mp3 files either from PC or my smartphone. It just shows the colored borders and nothing happens. I tried both Ear and Mic plug, as well as mono and stereo cable. Is there some specific way to load the programs other than "Load" + "Enter"? Schematics are welcome. Thanks in advance. +Gemintronic
I've heard of people having difficulties on a similar product called the StarPath SuperCharger. Basically, some MP3 players just don't have the fidelity. Try using a real cassette tape recorded from a lossless sound file format.

Have you written any programs for the Compumate? Try loading a Compumate program from a tape recorder. Here's a Compumate game: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-songmate_27063.html
Amstari
You can find some CompuMate programs as MP3s here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/178634-the-compumate-list/ Also try adjusting the volume on your MP3 player until the programs load. It will be trial and error until you find the volume that works. Extra setting like "Bass Boost" on the player may cause problems. If you post the details of your CompuMate (PAL or NTSC, Complete in box, etc) I will add you to the list of CompuMate owners. Good luck. I hope you get it to work.

My unit is Spectravideo PAL with only the manual. I will try the other mp3 and adjust the volume. Ethaniel
OK! After many many tries, i managed to half load the Quest game. I got an error 13 at the end but at least i know it kinda works... Also, it seems to load files from the Ear plug and not the Mic if that matters...
