My system has not been the same since the arrival of the FinalGROM 99 and c0d3m4st4's case for it.

These two items go together like milk & cookies. I truly wonder if I'll ever plug another cartridge into my TI ever again.

So, if you are a new or returning TI'er, my advice would be to avoid ALL the overpriced legacy cartridges on eBay (unless you are a collector) and just get this instead. You'll save yourself a ton of money and a lot of wear and tear on the cartridge port! :-D

Fully agree, looking forward to use this module!

(I do not have the FinalGrom in my hands yet..9148km away, but pick it up next month)

but if I am correct we can run, basically all the UberGroms: (installed on separate or the same SD-card ?)

* Extended Basic Suite 2.7 on it (with the "Texas Instruments" Speech update

* 2048K Games

* Extended Basic 2.7 + XB 256 + TML ("Extended Basic Fun")

* and more like FbForth, RichXB, multi-cart games, etc.

* Mini-Memory

* E/A (already part of XB.27 Suite)

* E/A RAM module (8K)

* Mechatronic XB, Super XB, and other versions.

* 8-in-1 Rasmus Games (as this .bin package does not require the ATMEGA2848P chip in the UberGrom)

I am wondering which other modules are out there that need the module port

(and the FinalGrom need to be removed for it to use the module)

* SuperSketch (http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/hardware/super_sketch.html)

because of the cable

* Projects like UberGrom with Wi-Fi and UberGrom with HDx connection also because of the extensions

Not really needed anymore:

* GramKracker (or are there features that are needed?)

* Navarone 3-port module switcher (to read out modules with tools like V9T9 (the very long time ago DOS version)

* If I remember correctly PRK (Personal Record Keeping) modules were used also to have more memory for

certain TI-BASIC programmes (something with call files). Need to ask my father about that.

Sideport modules are available already for FinalGrom (I believe so as there are .bin and .dsk versions)

* Miner2049er

* Espial

* others?

No the larger uber cart images are too large for the final grom. The entire suite for xb27 won't fit. Though just xb27 will. Rxb also fits ..

Where Can I get one of those? I admit, I would still buy the old carts as well, as I like to collect, but I still wouldn't mind one of these to either play games and stuff I don't have, or even to have something to save stuff to!

Also U.S. buyers can << CLICK HERE >> for the excellent case by c0d3m4st4 (including buttons).

It's a NO HASSLE solution for enclosing and protecting your investment with a little matching style.

For people in Europe, anywhere else, or if you just want to, you can buy directly from the creator by

U.S. AND Canadian buyers. Greg has always offered shipping to your northern neighbour - at GREAT shipping rates to boot!!

Come to think of it, he probably does your southern neighbours too!

The funny thing is in fact that every now and then, colleagues stop by, peeking into the office, "That thing's still running?" - "Got to be a bit more determined at the next hardware acquisition, will you?" - "Yeah, nice shots of the Aurora at your wall ... but I'm more stunned by your little darling on that table ..."

It's this special feeling when you hear the hard disk spinning up

... for some seemingly never-ending time, the pitch rising more and more,

... and then ... at its climax

... you hear the head restore.
