Funny thing is, some people complain that the A8 gets no coverage at all in RG!

I think that it has improved over time, especially because of your help there Jason. I think that your coverage is fair, whereas I find some others tend to ignore Atari altogether.

There was all the coverage of Atari's arcade machines for a while which was good.

I just hate it when they show you a game that came out and then they list all the machines that it was released for and Atari isn't listed, though there has been a release of it. Though I haven't seen that happen for quite a while.

I've got random RGs going back all the way to the first series with the coverdisks. (Availability of the magazine in the US is.. iffy at best. I drive 30 minutes to the one bookstore that carries them mostly just for RG!)

I kind of joke the editorial staff feels as if they will die if they don't have X number of pages about the Spectrum each issue.

Which sucks for us but to be fair that POS system was HUGE in the UK and is thus more important than a near nonstarter like the A8bits.

I would say the upcoming magazine by the Retrogaming Roundup crew will be better but most of their staff seem console oriented and mostly NES elitists in some of their more notable writer categories. :(

Nah, i can't take any credit for that much as my ego would enjoy it. =-)

Everybody is trying to avoid this now, but nobody really knows all of the 8-bit market including the editorial staff so there's bound to be the odd slip.

When there's a story to be told and a writer willing to cover it they'll at least consider it and i know from talking to the editor at Play earlier this month that he's interested in getting more Atari 8-bit coverage; if anyone fancies a go just come up with a pitch, approach your interviewees to make sure they're willing and contact the mag with your idea.

I understand slips, but in the past it has happened a lot. Sometimes I think that just a little Google / Youtube search would help. But it is getting better, I can see that.
