retroillucid
Would you be interested in Arcade Controller Replicas for ColecoVision? Something similar to what I did with the Mario Bros controller. (See collectorvision youtube channel) If yes, wich controller(s) you would like to be made? Manoau2002
What you have planned for the burgertime controller looks good. Mario brothers would be cool as well. I am interested depending on price of course.

retroillucid
I ain't votin' 'til I see a link to pictures or a video of what this poll is all about. You once told me Arcade controller was not ideal for you So I guess you will vote NO, anyway you can clearly see what this project looks like in one my videos on youtube where I show the Mario Bros Arcade Controller I mean, what else needed? Just take a look at your favorite arcade game, check the control panel and you got the idea

Pixelboy
Like this! Aaah, that's what I was waiting for. Pretty cool idea actually. That Mario Bros one looks awesome. My question at this point would be: Would it be difficult to have an Arcade Controller with interchageable cover plates or overlays?
Manoau2002
Like this! I watched the video where you show the mouse trap controller and pepper shaker buttons for a burgertime one. The mario controller looks great in this video. I can't vote from my phone but I will later at home. Anyway I am very interested.
retroillucid
Would it be difficult to have an Arcade Controller with interchageable cover plates or overlays? It would .... But most arcade use different control layout Could be done with some like (DK, DKjr) But honestly, I would not to that
retroillucid
I watched the video where you show the mouse trap controller and pepper shaker buttons for a burgertime one. . Yep, those are planned .... Well, for me at least, if there is lack of interests, wich seems the case
NIAD
Yep, those are planned .... Well, for me at least, if there is lack of interests, wich seems the case It's Thanksgiving here is the States, so I'd give it a little more time to judge interest. I'm on the fence, but will not delay my vore for too long.
NIAD
Watched the video to refresh my memory and while that Mario Bros. controller looks incredible, I wouldn't be interested due to the probable high cost and the fact that the Arcade Quality Controller is plenty good for me. Although, I do like PixelBoy's idea of Overlays if something could be figured out for use with the ACQ you produced. Ikrananka
Although, I do like PixelBoy's idea of Overlays if something could be figured out for use with the ACQ you produced. I'm the same, if the controller could be more flexible with overlays for specific games then I'd be interested. This would be best combined with more buttons to cater for a wider selection of games. Alternatively, how about simply producing an adaptor for the X-Arcade to connect to a ColecoVision and then producing overlays for the X-Arcade? +grips03
Would this be a two player control panel or a single?
retroillucid
Would this be a two player control panel or a single? In this case, it'll depend on the original controller itself In example. Donkey Kong would be a one player panel while Mario Bros would be a 2 players But judging by the lack of interests (wich I understand) I will not go on with this project I will do the regular CollectorVision AQC , maybe a 2 players version this time
NIAD
I will do the regular CollectorVision AQC , maybe a 2 players version this time How about a replica ColecoVision KIOSK !!! You have the skills needed for all facets of production, now put them to use.
retroillucid
How about a replica ColecoVision KIOSK !!! You have the skills needed for all facets of production, now put them to use. Having studied in woodworking (mainly Tenon-Mortise assembly) .... This kind of project would be a walk in a the park Although, my main concern is the molded plastic part wich I would like to be an exact replica (using vaccuforming) Artworks has already been done for a couple of years now, Thanks to my friend Mike for providing me some good pics For now, I don't have any space to work and on top of that, I already have Arcade cabs in my living room and I really need a house......... So I can put much more cabs Otherwise, I would seriously pissed my wife EDIT: This's one of the projects I was doing when I studied in woodworking Edited December 1, 2013 by retroillucid
retroillucid
Ok, for the 2nd batch of Arcade Controller, I've decided to make 2 Players Controllers only Half of the batch will be Arcade games based.... In example DK, Pacman The other half will be like the first batch but in 2 players version , while only 1 keypad will be present on the controller The Arcade games based controller will NOT have keypad but you can easely plug a regular controller in the back of the Arcade Controller You will also be able to have exact arcade game based controller replica In example, you want a reproduction of Mouse Trap arcade controller, wich is pretty unique BTW Or let's say, Burgertime featuring the two pepper buttons Those controllers are for the hardcore i must say Finally, you choose! Microswitch, leaf switch , 8 way joystick, 4 way joystick, well.... Your choice! If you are interested to be on the reservation list, post your interest here Edited December 5, 2013 by retroillucid
